Familitchi Tama Fan Game - confused.

I'm a brand new tama owner. ._.; And I'm insanely confused on how to play this blasted 'Tama fans' game on the family version. =_=; I see a bunch of word bubbles popping up from different tamas, I push different buttons, but I can't seem to find the button required for either word bubble, if I'm making sense.

Pen bubble -> Tried A, lost.

Pen bubble -> Tried B, lost

Envelope bubble -> Tried A, lost.

Some other dude way back in line said something about an envelope -> Did nothing, lost.

Basically, I'm going bananas. All the instructions say is "Press A and B to send and receive fan mail." X_X;;;; They couldn't be slightly more specific or anything? I'm sure it's very easy and I'm just a dope, but would a kind soul shed a little light on this for me?

Don't worry. here's what you have to do-

For the controls, press A to look left and press B to look right.

If a Tamagotchi baby on your left has a pen or envelope over its head, look left.

If a Tamagotchi baby on your right has a pen or envelope over its head, look right.

If a Tamagotchi baby on either your left or your right has a bug over its head, don't press anything until that baby leaves and the next one comes up to you.

That's how you play Tama Fans! Now you pretty much know how to play it, I guess!
