Music star music school game-how?

My Nonopotchi is a teenager, as you know, and when you go to music school, you have to play a game, as you know. But whatever I do I cannot seem to figure out how to play the game! I lose every time! How do you do it?

In case you might need these:

Rock and Roll band.

I have a bass drum, singers and guitar.

Whenever you see a note appear over a band member press the button under them. So that means that when a note appears on band member farthest to the left, you press the A button because it's under him/her. The middle tama(yours) is the B button, and the tama to the far right is the C button. So once again, if you see a note appear above a band member press their button, as long as you do it in time for most of the song you should win.
