K, so I have a girl and boy tama, 4 and 3 respectively. They have connected and have 4 hearts on the friends list. Are they ready to mate? Do they court or something? Can someone help me on the mating rituals of tamagotchis.

They have to be adults for atleast 48 hours before they can mate. To mate them, just connect them like you normally do (it might take a few tries) and they'll kiss, fireworks will appear, etc and then a child will each go with the parent.

Kool, and at what age does the old man/lady come to find the tamagotchi a mate? I've heard that it stops coming at 16, but I don't know when it starts

mrs. busybody starts coming at age 7, at least that's when she started coming for all of my tamagotchis

Yep.. Mrs Busy Body comes at age 7. On the Connections she stops coming at 11, and on Connexion/Plus I've heard she stops coming at 16. They turn into old people at that stage, unable to breed anymore.
