Pretty simple. What is your favorite picture book by Dr. Seuss.

Mine would have to be the Lorax, no buts about it. The Lorax is such a cute book and the message is green earthly love.

What's yours?

Also, I just learned today that The Lorax will be made into a movie for the big screen.

The "Oh the places you will go" book. I think that's the title. Anyways, in kindergarden, the only books I ever took were Dr. Seuss xD

"Oh the places you will go".

Haha, love the images and figurative language used in the book. =D

"Oh the Places you will go"

My Friend Ashley's Teacher Read that at Ashley's Grade 8 Graduation.

My favorite is "Green Eggs and Ham"

Thats the best one. [in my opinion]

One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish

It was my moms Favorite XD We read it all the time

I also like the one with a Pink cover and a bunny on it O:

Green Eggs and Ham.

And that one with the guy that makes noises. 8D He's like... "Pip, pop, slip, slop" I don't know what it's called though... OH! I REMEMBER! 8D It's "Mister Brown Can Moo, Can You?" xDD

And The Foot Book.

I love those books. XD

All of Suess's "political" books are great. "The Butter Battle Book" is basically a reenactment of the cold war, "Yurtle the Turtle" was criticism of dictators (specifically Hitler), and "Horton hears a Who" was about America's Anti-Semitic stance during the holocaust. (They even took a national vote to send jewish refugees back to germany.) In the Horton story case, he was stating that no matter how "unimportant" a group of people seem to be, their voice needs to be heard. Some also believe that this could've been commentary on the rebuilding of Japan after the bombing of Hiroshima.

....Let's not forget that Suess was a political cartoonist during WW2, as well. -_-

However, The Lorax is a personal favorite because it tears me up almost every time.

The Cat in the Hat.

When I was younger and actually regularly read the books, I loved Green Eggs and Ham. But we read The Cat in the Hat in my English class this year, and it was great. It is honestly one of the funniest things I have ever heard. The cat just keeps doing these ridiculous things for no reason at all. I couldn't stop laughing (everyone else thought I was really weird for finding it that funny :p )

Hm, lets see...

1. The Sneetches. Its telling you that you are like everyone else arounde you, no better and no worse. You are who you are.

2. Green Eggs And Ham! In Pre-K we read it and used green food coloring to literally make green eggs and ham!

3. The Lorax. I have the cartoon and it's so good. Remember the swanny swans? XD

My mom bought a Dr. Seuss Treasury Book with 6 or 7 stories saying "You are never too old for Dr. Seuss!" She's right.

I forgot what vid I was watching on YouTube (Rant about Music by Nigahiga?) and at the end he just randomly says "And then I realize the greated rapper of all time... was Dr. Seuss." Lol!!!

Oh, and Theres a Wocket in my Pocket. Ah, memories.

I actually got up and went to my shelf of Dr. Seuss books. :'D

The Lorax, McElligot's Pool, Oh, the Thinks You Can Think, The Sneetches, and The Zax.

Oh course everyone loves The Grinch and Cat in the Hat as well, but those were a given.
