Hi, guys (and gals). This is a poem I wrote a few months ago after reading, Love,Stargirl by Gerri Spinelli. It's a really good book, and I know my poems will never live up to his, but here goes:
A Timeless World
His world is Clockless,
He has endless days to make his choice,
But numbered days?
He has never heard the phrase!
His clocks were smashed,
Smashed into the shreds that they mean,
Clocks?
What are they?
The Hands Of Time?
What are they?
A Minute?
An Hour?
A Day?
Just to measure your life,
Into a small numbered Calendar?
No!
His world is a beauty!
A beauty of endless time,
He has all the time in the world!
