Chapter 2
Sukie's world
I rolled boredly in front of the screen. Maybe Jess would see me and praise me for this. I ran across the screen and my baby legs caught up. I landed hard on my grassy floor. Grass? Well, I need something to remind me of my own planet. I have visions of it every day with its lovely pink sky and fresh grass, full of friendly Mimitchis and Mametchis and what not. I couldn't wait to return to my planet but...the war. Those who had babies were mature enough to fight. That's why they left. Always.
Rolling around in front of the screen made me consider calling out to Jess. Where was she? It was dark. I as obviously in her pocket. Time was a lot slower in human life and I was pretty bored. I decided to beep her in the conventional "toy" manner.
I concentrated hard on attention. BEEP BEEP BEEP. Then there was light!
"Sukie! Couldn't you have waited?" Jess moaned scrolling through her buttons.
"Eh?" I looked down. A nice pile of poop was steaming at my feet.
"Silly you!"
I forced a grin.
"Yeah. Ha ha. Silly me", I said sarcastically. I despised being a baby. They had no control over when and where they poop. Then, very slowly, a pricking sensation spread over my body.
"Jess? What happening?" I babytalked.
"Yes Sukie! Your changing!", Jess cried. My world grew blurry then sharp. I felt stronger.
"Gosh that was weird", I said. Yes! I could talk. I tried to run. Yes! No more chubby baby legs. I was Sukie the Marutchi!
