Personally, I hate Tamagotchis. I found out that with your purchace of Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver, you get a Pokewalker, a cool new device where you place a pokemon inside of it. If you like pokemon, then you should buy it.

Here is an information link: https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pok%C3%A9Walker

I think this topic would be better suited in Tamagotchi Cousins"

And I agree, I have a pokewalker. I love the concept of being able to train a pokemon while walking around. I'm going to walk my ponyta while I'm at school next week.

I agree, this should go into Tamagotchi Cousins.

On topic, I believe Nintendo will be bringing the Pokewalker over to the States with the release of Heart Gold and Soul Silver on March 14th. I'm going to wait until then to get one (It's four days after my birthday, natch). Many sources have stated so, so if you're patient you'll eventually have one in English. :)

I'm actually surprised that they're actually bringing the walker to the States. From studying Tamagotchi for so long, I'd noticed that the most feature-filled virtual pets seem to stay in Japan and the ones that make it to the states usually have fewer features.

If you walk, it counts as experience, but your pokemon will NOT evolve (i.e. If a Level 1 Female Sunkern gets 1,059,860 walking points, the points will become 1,059,860 exp. causing her to be Level 100). Also, earning watts gives you new areas.

I Pre-Ordered Soul Silver. Just to make sure I would have a copy. The extra 5 dollars is nothing for the pokewalker. Considering Pokemon Pikachu, V2 was 30 dollars. I believe the Original Pokemon Pikachu was 25 because it was greyscale. I have one, I still play with it. I'll be playing with that and my new pokewalker I'm getting.

Next question is: Who is going to walk with me first? hahaha.

My brother pre-ordered Soul Silver for me as a present :]

I will be getting it on March 14.

:D

with the pokewalker :)

Yes, this new Pokéwalker is out where I live, and for only $5 since no ones buying it.

Only for $10 more you get the DS game...

People are charging you more for the Pokewalker? All the games are $39.99 for the whole game and Walker. I put Ratata in my Pokewalker first hahaha... I love playing with the walker because you can catch pokemon and use those pokemon you caught and trade them between your games for your better pokemon to your new version. (That wasn't a run-on sentence Hahahaha! ) Catch, Transfer back, Get other version pokemon in trade, Kick...some, Win. :D

(I actually missed having Ratata and Pidgey come up every 5 seconds.... Ya I could have had them in Leaf Green and Fire Red but... I hate restarting over and over like that. )

..I have one..but sad to say..I broke it..coz its a little boring...

Someone stole mine and sold it for drugs! D: (no lie) Its not that fun. D: i got bored with it and dont even care its gone. Its not like it cost me a cent or anything.

The pokewalker is the best thing ever. I like how I can get a wider variety of Pokemon early on in the game.

Mom likes it too, since it gets me out of the house once in a while. XD

Iadmit its getting kinda boring. I've had my Wob' in my pokewalker for a week... before that I didn't really play with it since I got it for the first week. Then got bored in a hurry....

They only gain one level per walk. If they gain a level at all, that is. Then they keep wanting you to earn more watts every time you gain another area.

i have pokewalker but i cant find my heartgold game card  i might have left it at my friends house :D
