Hello,

I just started to visit this forum and it seems nice so far. My fiance and I talked a while ago about how I like small - niknaky things and just reccently found the V6 Tamagotchi at a local megamart. I think they are the V6 from 2009 as they do not have Music Star on the top under the "Tamagotchi" labeling. (I just saw some at Target that appear to have this trait.... and were marked 2010...)

After rediscovering how much fun tamas are, I pulled out my old purple V1 from under the bed - gave it some batteries and now have 3 working tamas. (though I remember why I stopped playing the V1 lol)

Since this rediscovery though, I have decided to start a new collection along side my quarter machine toys - tamagotchis!

To kick off my new collection I ordered a Tamagotchi Mini (or Chibi, if you prefer)! I'm excited to get it - it's the yellow with stripes one. It reminded me of an Easter Egg! :chohimetchi:

Has anyone else had a Tama Mini? I know they have reduced functions, but I was thinking of starting a collection with one play tama and another to keep in the package. I was just wondering if anyone had any positive game feedback on them (or negative...). :furawatchi:

Thanks,

Purn

[i will most likely post again later once it reaches me all the way from Canada. I'm probably going to make this my "play" tama for my collection and I will write a game play review on it then - also I searched the topic before posting as didn't see anything, so it may not exist or maybe way old....]

Yes, I do have a Tamagotchi Mini. One thing I prefer tamagotchi mini over the other versions are the dots on the screens are huge, unlike other version tamagotchis. Well, it doesn't have as good features as the other ones, but I still like it. It's cute and tiny. If you have other questions with it, feel free to PM me.

I used to have a Tamagotchi Mini. I broke it thinking I could debug it, a few years ago. Lol.

So yeah, the Tamagotchi Mini is low maintenance. All you do is feed it and clean its poop, or nurse it when it's sick. That's it. There really isn't any games. But, I like how it has the original sounds from their older Tamagotchis.

I really regret tearing mine open, knowing that the values of this version have gone up from $9.99 to about $35 o.o So, I just busted a rare jewel there.

Yes. I own a mini tamagotchi. It was fun to just hit buttons and care for it. It was very basic, like a 3-5 year old could play with it and forget about it. You could see the same chracters from the original group of tamagotchi. I always seem to be getting Kupatchi. (I think thats him, I'm rusty on names.....the green penguin one) It would go great on a cell phone dangle or a coat zipper. Its a nice little toy, I just hope you didn't pay too much for it as it was about $7.99 when it was released here.

Thanks everyone for the awesome replies! I did end up finally getting and following the instructions it was.... pretty simple hahah!

I ended up paying about $30 for it (with shipping) I don't even remember seeing them in America any where near where I lived... I know they were released here, but I never saw one. I ordered mine from a very nice gentleman in Canada.

$30 is around my limit for any Tama since I'm trying to collect just one of each type to try out each "game." It's a great little tama to have while working or studying since it's pretty low maintenance. :p Plus it's cute and looks like a little easter egg!

Thanks again to everyone who posted!! :(

The Chibi is fun and very low maintenance. However, the only interaction you will have is feeding and cleanup. It will "amuse" itself. Sometimes you will see it run around and jump.
