Do you prefer Ancestors or Connection?

I prefer ancestors. Say your vote and why. :furawatchi:

I prefer ancestors. I only have a G1 and a tamagotchi angel but i think they rock. They are just simple pets u take care of and don't have to worry about how much money they have to buy food and stuff. Just have to worry about taking good care of them and achieving the character you want.

I voted connection, because I don't believe I've ever had an Ancestor before.

I prefer ancestors, but they're not THAT much better than connectiopns. They're still better though.

I prefer ancestors as well because I remember buying my very first one back in '98, so there's a lot of sentimental value there. The ancestors are simpler but they have great functions and the Osu/Mesu ones "connect," just not via infrared.

Well the Original ones I think were better. Sure the new versions have more games but they get boring. The originals had more interesting characters, like the Angel or Devil gotch. Those are still worth HUGE money. People still want those MORE then any of the new versions... Besides the Tama Color versions in Japan.

The ancestors definitely bring back wonderful memories, but I LOVE the save feature on the Connections when you replace the batteries. The lack of such a feature in the past caused me grief more than once.

Both Ancestors and Connections have their own special attributes. Ancestors are much simpler, of course, and don't do as much as the Connections. I buy tamas on appearance mainly, but also on functions. To me, they BOTH rock!!!

I agree with this sooo much. I do prefer the Connection over the ancestors, simply since I started out/grew up with my V2 pink connection But I do like the ancestors too.

It also depends on what you were raised upon, as far as Tamagotchis go...if you were born after the first wave of Tamagotchis, you might not even know what the ancestors were. I really love how Tamagotchi has evolved...it has come so far since the 90s. Although I prefer the ancestors, I'm glad the Connections have introduced new and exciting features that keep the spirit of Tamagotchi alive, and even exposes some of the younger fans to these awesome ancestors.

The original Tamagotchis have a nostalgic charm. They're simple, and easy to care for and have no tedious features.

Tamagotchi Connections bring a lot of new and fun things to the table, including the option to interact with other Tamagotchis. Depending on the version, the games can be very tedious, though, making you spend a lot of time on a game just to fill one happiness heart.

My verdict? I like them both. I can't decide... but if I had to choose, I'd probably go with nostalgia. XD

Can I say I like both?

Although, they got just a little bit ridiculous with the newer ones, but there are more ways to connect. Over the internet, and with other tamagotchis. (Bandai really seems to like the tamatown idea xD)
