Hopefully I'm posting this in the right place. If not I'm sorry.

So here's the question. Do you want the Tamagotchi Plus Color or iD to translated?

Personally I don't want it too. First off I know(or used too know) tons of kids who can't even get a Tamagotchi because it costs so much (15-20 Canadian) and the price of the iD/Color is about 50-60. I'm not even sure of any kids who play with Tamagotchi's anymore. But I am in high school so that might be why, but I'm friends with tons of nine year-olds. And only one actually has a Tamagotchi. And my last point is; wasn't the Tamagotchi+Color a Japan exclusive. Just like Music Star is here?

So I want to here what you guys want to say. Do you want the iD or Color in English?

Since I've never actually seen a Tamagotchi that uses actual English, it'd be pretty cool. But I agree on the price, I'm broke as it is. D:

Yes, the TMGC+C is a Japan exclusive. I do own a Color though, and I love it. I'm also in high school. :)

Maybe the generation that used to love Tamagotchi's has grown up. Personally, I still think they're about the

most entertaining little buggers in the toy section. <3

:)

uh i emailed bandai about this and they said stuff about they are not gonna make it to amarica at all and then they went on about the tamagotchi movie and they said there gonna make a new tamagotchi wich is the tamagotchi-go

That would be cool if it were in English, but really, the Japanese Tamagotchis aren't too difficult to learn to care for. Besides, and unfortunately, lots of Japanese Tamagotchis never make it here because there isn't enough demand for it, not counting the fact that people here are probably not going to want to pay $50-60 for it. They are entertaining! It's true that the generation when the first wave of Tamagotchis came out is grown up (I'm going on 23 and I still love them) but I'm amazed at how much Tamagotchi has evolved since the 90s and people are still pretty interested in them! :)

Yep, typical Bandai US customer "service" response. You won't get anywhere by emailing customer service (I think you gotta "know" somebody there, which I don't). And that's just selfish of Bandai to say "never" and force the same old repackaged Tama on us (No offense to you; I was getting aggrivated about Bandai US :) ).

But I think maybe they could release it for $30-40 in the US (since things in Japan are almost always more expensive than in US anyway), with some compromises like lower battery life, not-as-sturdy shell, etc. I'd like an English color (NOT Bandai's greyscale, which they'll probably say, "grey is a color" as an excuse) Tama.

Tamagotchi ID and Tamagotchi Colour Plus will be cool if they were in English. As in Japanese I won't even consider buying it, secondly the price is a little to high i've got to say. I understand those are special because they have colour but Bandai has got to think about people that can afford it. And that's not a lot of people. With that money, I can get 4 Music Stars. Also, my parents won't encourage me to get a Tamagotchi that expensive as it's still a TOY to them.

I would like it to be in English at least I can consider begging for it!

It doesn't really matter too much whether or not it's in English. The Guides have already translated the instruction manuals and I'm sure there are countless tips and tricks out there that are pinned for everyone to see. I'm guessing people in other countries have done the same in their own languages. :)

i think it's better if they're still available only in japan! maybe you can get an exclusive tama that will be precious after years, like the angelgotch and the devilgotchi!

i dont mind it not being translated but if only they were a bit cheaper cause i really want one and there just so dang expensive i cant get one

I think that Bandai should create versions without japanese dialogues in scenes like the park and shop welcomes, like the Tama-Go for example, except the name we put in the tama. They could put 4 languages (japanese, english, german, french) options for menu and icons when we start the device for the first time. It's simple and maybe they could open their marketing to US and Europe :(

I think no because what was the point of buying the japanese? I spent $54 on that! And its controls are really easy to use once you know them. I think the english version would be really hard to learn the controls and confusing for me because i have one now.

I would have to say, yes I wish that they did make ID and Colour Tamagotchi's in English. I'd rather have something of my own language and many families including mine have this thing against internet shopping which makes it extremely difficult to buy things overseas. :(

I don't think Bandai will be releasing a colour version of Tamagotchi because the market for them here isnt as high. They must have forecasted how much an average person here buys a tamagotchi and how much they are willing to spend on one.

I think if the Tamagotchi+color or ID made it to N.A in english, it would cost somewhere from $70-$90 for one because of import taxes and regulations they need to follow for each country.

I think what their goal right now for Tamagotchis outside Japan is to make them affordable for children here. Parents are more willing to spend $15-25 for a toy than $70-90.
