Hello again!
Well I just rolled out another tweak to the underlying code behind TamaTalk. There is a more noticeable change this time because the member name, avvie and stats are on the left side underneath the date posted now. (Well there are lots more changes underneath in the HTML but you might not see those much)

Is this a good change? Give it a day or so to soak in and please vote in the poll. I can change this back if people like it on the right like it has been for years.

Which do you like? Right? or Left?

Please also feel free to post your opinions here! I am open to suggestions.

I think having it on the left side makes it more, organized and cleaner? I don't know I prefer it over the right side

It looks good either way, but I think I prefer it on the right side.
EDIT: The polls are tied, so maybe it might be an idea to let us choose (like in Board Settings or something) whether we want it on the left or right side? I dunno.

I much prefer it on the right, I'm used to it, plus because of the ads and stuff on the left, TT looks cluttered with that stuff being on the left.

Makes it alot easier and cleaner on the Left. Much better than having it on the right
When most people read, they read from left to right. So it makes more sense on the left beacause thats where you will always look first.

I fail to understand how people find it cluttered on the right.
With it on the left everything is grouped together.
With it on the right everything is in different places which makes it cluttered.
Most forum sites always have the Avatar and Username on the right.

I really don't think I can get used to them being on the left, but it's reasonable to make it an option.
That way we'd all get what we want. But if all else fails, my vote is for the right side. (=

I prefer it on the right, because I'm so used to it. Like Ksenia said, it looks realy cluttered now, because of the ads and now the avatars and stuff.

I like it a lot better on the right... o_o The left seems to make posts with Quotes in looks slightly strange because it makes the quote and post go under the the avatar and stats of the person. I don't know if anyone else can see that, but that's what I'm seeing, so I prefer it on the right. o-O

I don't think I'd mind it too much if the quotes didn't go like that.

Why are quotes (however short) pushed down below the avatar etc., leaving a big white space to the right of the avatar?

(Also notice that when a user doesn't have a signature, the bottom hanging-down-bits of letters in the last line of their message aren't visible.)

^ That's what I'm seeing .. the quoted posts look so strange like that.
It seemed a lot cleaner when they were on the right, especially when you count all the clutter with ads and stuff.
And I doubt many of us who've been here for a long time will accept the change as readily ..

Yikes. My apologies for the quoting strangeness. I will look into this and hopefully either have a fix for it or switch things back to the way they were before.

OK I am switching it back to the right for now just so everything looks right again.

I plan on still working out some kinks and hopefully having something that will work. Also, I will look into the idea of having it be a setting we can select. Please keep voting for your preference!
