Why does everyone keep saying 300? It says right in the product description FROM THE MANUFACTURER when you go to buy them on Amazon.com "Collect all 100 TamaTown Gotchi Character Figures. Each character comes with 2 character exclusive games that can be played with TamaTown Tama-Go (sold separately). Visit shops and get character specific gifts. Comes with a face plate to change the look of your Tamagotchi. Includes exclusive web codes to access special gifts on www.tamatown.com. "

100, ONE hundred, not 3~

but the thing is that well look at mametchi and all the other figs they have numbers on them like 110 so i dont think they will realese 300 mayby thell realese em in seires i don't know but i think its 300 coz if it were 100 the figs wouldn't have the numbers 120 and so on and binary how cool that new mini game for a starter figs looks awsome !!

<img src="http://i59.photobuck...tternShoot.jpg" /> <img src="http://i59.photobuck...nShootGame.jpg" />
tarokaja did some more experimenting and found a third game!

(IR)
xoox
ooox
When all three contacts marked with x are connected together, Pattern Shoot is unlocked. (Connect the two in the right column first, then connect them to the one at the top left.)

Note: I do not recommend that you try the above on your Tama-Go, as you may end up breaking or damaging your Tama-Go. If you do try it, and your Tama-Go becomes broken or damaged in any way, neither I nor TamaTalk will be held responsible.

Thank you tarokaja!

Have you checked to see if this causes the unit OR TamaTown to register that you've connected a new character figurine? Perhaps if you checked this, and it does, (I imagine that as you connect new figurines the shadows in the growth chart become illuminated? Or there is some other signification on TamaTown because it mentions that there will be a special announcement for you if you connect enough?) we might be able to figure out which character figurines have which games in advance.

Plus, instead of buying the figurines, those of us confident in our circuitry abilities could go down to Radio Shack and spend about $5 instead of hundreds at Toys 'R Us!

Perhaps the numbering process starts at 100, or perhaps they're numbered that way because that's what number the character is within the development line of Tamagotchi characters? We can only speculate at this point as to what goes into the numbering. However, I think that if Bandai themselves say "Collect all 100!" there are sure to be exactly one hundred. How could they possibly expect their consumers to have space and/or money for an additional two hundred? For crying out loud, getting all 100 would cost $700 and be a ridiculous amount of space to be able to keep track of. I'm sorry, but I think that you're misrepresenting the truth when you say you're just being cautious and allowing for the extra numbers because of the numbers on the figurines. Since Bandai says there will be one hundred, why don't we just go ahead and stick with the eventual total being one hundred?

About the number of figurines:
When Bandai was prototyping the Tama-Go, when they first announced it, they said 300 figurines. Now that the Tama-Go has been released (in some places), they have changed that number to 100. 100 figurines is the latest figure, so that must be correct.

About connecting the contacts to unlock games:
This only works for "Lite" figurines (the figurines that come with the Tama-Go). The figurines that you buy separately (called "Full" figurines) have their own memory chip inside them, so even if you figure out a million different combinations, you'll never find one that unlocks something from a Full figurine.

The Tama-Go character silhouettes on TamaTown are unlocked only by logging into TamaTown with a character you've raised on a Tama-Go. Attaching a Character Figure has no effect on the silhouettes.

On the Tama-Go, there's a Character Figure Counter on one of the stats screens. Mine currently says "4"

Yes, that's my thinking exactly.

Last night I took Hoshitchi to TamaTown and visited Forest Falls. By some freaky coincidence, four other Hoshitchis were also there. We had a fun party in the hot tub.

I was/am under the impression that the figurines that come with the Tama-Go unit are all the same, as I read in someone's log that the game unlocked by the figurine that comes with any of the units is the game "Cradles". So, if additional games are being unlocked in this fashion, mustn't they be from the full figures? And... Binary, since you said that your counter now says 4 figures, doesn't that mean that it counted the times that you connected it with wiring? I thought you only had two figures.

The lite Character Figures with this wave of Tama-Go shell patterns unlocks Cradles. I'm guessing that if this wave of Tama-Go sells well, there could be two more waves, one with lite Character Figures that unlock Coin Catch, and another with lite Character Figures that unlock Pattern Shoot.

I imagine the 4 count is from:
1. the included Mametchi (Cradles) lite Character Figure
2. the Ringotchi Character Figure
3. the hot-wired Coin Catch lite Character Figure
4. the hot-wired Pattern Shoot lite Character Figure

July 25 (Sunday, only 5 more months until Christmas!)

Hoshitchi woke up at 7:30 AM

At about 9:03 AM she became Chuchutchi. I'm hoping she's a bad-care teen, since I had allowed several care misses during toddler stage, in an effort to get a bad-care teen.

Binary, believe me, I know Chuchutchi is a bad care character. I leave my toddler at home for 5 hours at a time and when I get back it's Chuchutchi. :(

Perhaps, if there turn out to be other games that can be activated with Binary's method, then if Bandai US decides to do a promotion with a fast-food place or such, then the promotion might include individual "lite figures" with the kids meal.

Binary, I have several questions for you. Where will the tama-go be availlable in stores? When will the tama-go be available in stores? How exactly is the cost of the tama-go? Thanks for listning. :(

I never thought of that!!! That actually makes so much sense and seems likely if they sell well. Now I really hope they do!

I think I could be able to answer that for you ;) .
Toys R Us, Target, probably any store carrying Tamagotchi
Fall
$21.99
It's available online (Amazon), by the way. I got mine directly from Bandai.

July 25 (continued)

9:00 PM Chuchutchi goes to bed late.

July 26

8:15 AM Chuchutchi wakes up late, too.

9:10 AM became Violetchi. I guess you can get the same adults from good-care or bad-care teens.

9:15 AM Happy Beep. Did she go on the toilet by herself? Her training bar isn't full; it's at only 14 / 15 bars.

12:35 AM Happy Beep. Yes, she definitely seems to be toilet trained.

I've encountered some glitches on my Tama-go and was wondering if Binary or anyone else has as well? First of all it evolved fully in 2 days, secondly despite never being paused his age is still listed as 0yrs, and lastly it keeps beeping like it wants something but when I press A button to get the background back, it stops wanting anything. Once he even marched towards the screen as if I had pressed C, I've tried reseting and downloading but to no avail.

Binary, congrats on your Violetchi, and her potty-training too. By any chance, do you know where I could find a full Tama-Go guide? What are some experiences you've had with your that might be good for me to know?
crayonscribbles, that does sound strange. Definitely sounds like a glitch. Maybe you should reset?

I personally haven't seen the age-not-advancing glitch, but -Ra- has. He's documented it in his Tama-Go log on Tama-Zone. We discussed it, and think it's due to the Tama-Go sitting too long at the TamaTown Login Password screen.

The unnecessary calls for attention happen several times a day for me. Usually at about 10:30 AM, 1:30 PM, 4:30 PM, and sometimes at 7:30 PM. I think of it as my Tama-Go character getting lonely, and just wants to make sure I'm near-by. Whenever she makes this beep, the attention icon goes out as soon as I press the A button. Sometimes she makes a happy sound, and sometimes she reacts as if I had pressed the C button (she comes up close to the screen.)

Binary, congrats on your Violetchi, and her potty-training too. By any chance, do you know where I could find a full Tama-Go guide? What are some experiences you've had with your that might be good for me to know?

There's supposed to be full instructions on the www.tamagotchi.com web site, but so far only the Quick Start Guide has been posted there.
