7:30 AM When Kuromametchi & Violetchi woke up this morning, there was an egg on the screen, between them.
All buttons were inactive at this time.


7:40 AM The egg hatched. Buttons can be used now.

The stats screens still shows Violetchi, age 10, gen.1

When Violetchi went shopping, Kuromametchi and the baby stayed home. She purchased Yogurt, 800p; Fried Chicken, 320p; Popcorn, 180p; Pineapple, 500p


When fed a meal or snack, the whole family sits at the table.

9:37 AM Happy beep.


10:30 AM Beeped for attention for no reason. When I pressed a button, the family did a C-button reaction, and the attention icon turned off.

Mmm, FIRST major adjustment?  I wouldn't go that far.    If anything, I think it's kind of like a step back, since it's not in color.  I mean, what's up with that?  Plus, no need to be like that, people have the right to have their own opinion.  Wouldn't want people to be afraid of expressing their own ideas.  I'm open, for sure, but I'm not warming up to the new one quite yet either.  Yes, many people will enjoy the new Tamagotchi but many others out there who have grown up with Tamagotchi since the late '90s also enjoy what the vintage, "little ones" have to offer.

Someone was asking about the Tama-Go's power save mode. Some time after you've last pressed a button, the livingroom wallpaper disappears. In addition to not having to turn on the pixels used by the wallpaper, it probably saves some CPU power by not having to calculate how to draw the characters in front of the wallpaper.

4:17 PM Happy beep. I glanced at my Tama-Go just when I heard this beep. The animation was just ending, but I think I saw Violetchi on the toilet and the baby on the potty at the same time. Her next poo should be 3hrs 20 minutes from now, so 7:37 PM. I'll try to have my camera ready for it.

OOH I heard that you use a plastic bag for some tamas as well... have you tried air-sealing it then using a lighter/ match/ curling iron to seal around it to make it water proof? (I layer them before I try and take advantage of THAT....)

Uh kinda off topic... But most tamas go to bed at 8:00pm, then when they reach adult, 9:00pm. If they are a "bad care" tama, sometimes 10:00pm.

Guys I really don't recommend sealing your tamagotchi like tamadot12 has stated. It can fry your tamas circut board. It is also a large chance you will remove your design/paint on your tamagotchi as well. Or Worse, seal in your screw or FRY your battery ruining the tamagotchi anyway with the chemicals in the battery.

The third icon, the Toilet, is the same as on other North American model Tamagotchis. Activating it after your character has poo'd, causes it to be wiped off the screen (horizontally, from right to left.) Activating it while your character is doing the pee-pee wiggle dance causes your character to sit on a potty to poo. (I imagine the potty will be replaced with a toilet, as my character grows up.)

The more recent Tamagotchis (especially the Colors and now the Tama-Go) call out the owner's name (seen in the speech bubble) when it needs something. When you first start up the Tamagotchi, you get to put in your name (so it knows what to call out) and the Tamagotchi's name. It's like the attention icon lighting up when it needs something on the older Tamagotchis.

No. The only other versions the Tama-Go can connect to are the V5 and the MusicStar.

My Tama-Go character woke up at 7:30 AM and went to bed at 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM (depending on her growth stage.) Remember. I'm only on first generation, and I took good care of her. I don't kn ow if other generations, or other types of characters (such as bad-care characters) will also wake up and go to bed at these times.

Amazon.com had the Tama-Go available last week, but then sold out within a few days. Hopefully they'll get more stock soon. And, hopefully other stores will be getting stock soon too.

Sorry, I don't know. But I think the distributor for Canada is Banda America, and the Tama-Go package I got from Banda America had English, Spanish, and French on it, so it's possible they're thinking about selling them in Canada.

Yes. At that moment, she was really in need of food. I allowed her to get to that point on purpose, as an experiment. What I found is that when their last Hungry heart empties, they don't call for attention. The call for attention some time after that. The length of this time is the amount of time it normally takes for a hungry heart to empty. Example: If your Tama-Go character takes 60 minutes to empty a Hungry heart, and they reach 0 Hungry hearts at 4:30 PM, they'll call for attention at 5:30 PM.

To summarize recent events:
Thursday early evening, Violetchi married Kuromametchi (after meeting him in the Love Place). He then moved in with her.
Friday morning, no baby yet.
Saturday morning, there was an egg on the screen with them. It hatched after 10 minutes. (Egg appears at second sunrise after parents get married.)
Sunday morning, parents are still here.

Hmm... If you mate two Tama-Go by connection, (assuming you can mate two Tama-Go by connection,) how does the "egg appears at second sunrise" work? Do the adults just live apart for a few more days, then suddenly an egg appears on each of their screens? Or, does an egg appear on each of their screens immediately? I'll looking forward to when my local toy store gets the Tama-Go, so I can get another Tama-Go and find out.
