I always complain about the cartoons today lacking the awesomeness of the cartoons of the past. Simple topic- which generation do you feel had the best cartoons? In the 1980's, you have things like Transformers and plenty of other robot themed shows. In the 1990's, you have shows like Doug, Ren & Stimpy, Spongebob, Dexter's Laboratory and many other great shows. In the early 2000's you have shows like Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends, The Fairly Odd Parents and Jimmy Neutron.

I personally feel that the 90's and the early 2000's had the best shows, seeing these were the shows I was raised off of. Which generation do you feel had the best cartoons?

The past, for sure, including stuff from the '80s. It's the stuff on which I was raised. Doug was the bomb. XD I would say I loved the '90s the most, as far as cartoons go.

Being a '90s Kid, like yourself, I would have to agree with you-- '90s and early Noughties. I loved Dexter, Fairly Odd Parents, etc. I'm pretty sure I was even a Powerpuff fan for a while... Oh dear xD Plus, I don't know too many people my age who don't have fond memories of the first series of Pokémon :) And I used to like Dragonball Z and Beyblade. I was a major tomboy in my early childhood (again, I totally don't understand the Powerpuff thing..).

But I also love all the old Disney cartoons from way back when, spanning the decades. As well as Tom and Jerry and Scooby-Doo. They're around the '50s and '60s, right?

^ Yeah, for the Tom and Jerry. I love that show, still watch it on YouTube occasionally. I'm not ashamed to admit that I still chuckle quite a bit, no matter how many times I've seen Tom and Jerry. :D The Disney original movies were also way better back then as well, along with the TV shows. None of this Hannah Montana/Wizards of Waverly Place/Suite Life/etc. stuff. :p No offense though.

I too, liked the 90s cartoons the best. However, I remember such cartoons as Bugs Bunny and Roadrunner, Casper the Friendly Ghost, Popeye, Felix the Cat, Astroboy, Kimba the White Lion, and so many more. I still watch Spongebob, Jimmy Neutron, Fairly Odd Parents, and The Penguins of Madagascar. I still am a huge Ren and Stimpy fan, and Doug as well. Also The Animaniacs were great too, especially Pinky and The Brain.

Agreed for the 6th time: 90's! Yeah!

New shows are OK, but the 90's were the best years for cartoons, honestly.
