PSP Bundles

I'm reeeaaally tempted to get Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep bundled with a PSP, BUT I'm weird about having the case of the game too, and I wanted to know that for RECENT bundles (like for PSP 3000s) if the game comes in a cardboard slip or in its original case.

I'd probably rather save money and get the bundle rather than be anal and buy a PSP, memory stick, and BBS all separately, but it'd be nice to know ahead of time about the case situation.

It should come with a case, usually they do. I was thinking about getting that too. XD Anyways, yea, it should. But I don't have a PSP so I'm not really sure. Mabye you could search it. That might have more on the PSP bundle.

Hello, my dear fellow Riku fan-girl friend. (That sounds weird. Lol.) Yea, sometimes Gamestop can give you cases, they did that for me once. But it was a blank case. No pictures or anything.

Meh, I want da SET case. Artwork and all. I half-wish the bundle was sold on Amazon 'cause I don't have a Gamestop account (Maybe it'll show up later, I don't know). I might buy another bundle that's close to the same price as buying a PSP core pack. Like I noticed on Amazon some of the bundles are sold for the same price as just getting the black PSP. Sooo I could pick a color I'll be happy with (bummer, silver is cool, but I can survive), give away the bundled game (or try it out), keep the memory card, and all those will be for the same price as a core pack. 8D Then buy BBS separately and get the darn case, hahaha.

Oh, and I think it'll come in a cardboard slip 'cause that's what reviews for other bundles say. So, I'll find a cheap bundle with a nice colored PSP and a memory card and who cares what game comes with that, then I'll buy BBS separately and BE HAPPY. I might even pre-order BBS before I even get a PSP so I can get the special decals. XD Bleh, I'll find out later.

Oh, and for anyone else who wanted to know about the case situation with PSP bundles and didn't want to read through my whole post, yes, I think it looks like the bundled games come in slips, not actual cases like if you purchase the game individually.

Hmm, that sounds fine too. It's your choice. But that sucks that it only comes with a cardboard slip. Why not the case? But oh well.

Hm. Well again, I'm not sure. 'cause if the Japan BBS bundle comes with the game in the case (by the looks of it) why shouldn't the US one? Not sure. I might ask GameStop about it. Oh, and does anyone know if you can pre-order bundles AT the GameStop store and have it shipped to your address? Because I am definitely not old enough to have a credit card, and my dad isn't using anything but Amazon for online ordering (which doesn't have the bundle available).

Well I know you can pre-order the individual game at GameStop and pick it up in-store (on their site, it was an available option), but they didn't mention anything about in-store pick up being available for the bundle. =/

Ok, in short:

YES, you get the game's case with the Birth By Sleep bundle! Whoo! Saves me $$$!

And apparently, they're still deciding whether or not to include the PSP BBS decals---I really hope they do, 'cause the limited edition KH PSP they sell in Japan is of the mystic silver color (like in the North American bundle), but the markings are actually ON the PSP. BUT, the plate decals that come with Birth By Sleep (if you pre-order) are identical to the markings on the back of Japan's special edition KH PSP, except that you don't get a tiny sticker for the front of the PSP that has a couple of little symbols and says "KINGDOM HEARTS," but hey, the back decals are more noticeable anyway.

Urgh, this is mildly aggravating. I emailed several more times to double+ check about the info, and I'm getting mixed results.

Yeesh, and if they only have one "Tim" answering emails, this is the same guy who told me that the case WOULD be included. Pfft.

Okay, so FINALLY, I CALLED a GameStop store because I wasn't totally sure if whoever emailed back answered accurately, and then proceeded to ask the same question again. XD

K, so the guy I called said he doesn't know for sure, but from what he does know, he's never seen a PSP bundle that came with a game case, so he doubts that the BBS one will.

Oh, and he said I could come directly to the store to put a deposit of $25 if I wanted to pre-order the bundle.

Ok so after calculating the costs of buy a black PSP + 4gb memory card + BBS, I decided I could pay the same amount and get the BBS bundle + individual BBS game (so yes, I'd have a spare UMD of BBS to keep or sell)---what's the real difference? I get a silver instead of black PSP, and I get the case + artwork for the game. ...I must be crazy, but it looks like that's what I'm gonna do. XD At least all my hard end-of-summer mini jobs are paying off.

I just thought I'd post about the new email so other people wouldn't get the bundle on the idea that the game case would be included---'cause you'd probably rather know ahead of time that the case might NOT be in it, right?

Oh, final update on this:

I got the bundle and another individual copy of the game. THE GAME IN THE BUNDLE DOES NOT COME WITH ORIGINAL CASE + ARTWORK. It comes in a cardboard slip.
