What's considered "bad care" for a Tama-Go?

So I just got my Tama-Go yesterday. It's bundles of fun, but I'm a little confused as to what this thing considers "bad care" to be.

I really wanted a Pipotchi or Kunoitchi, so I've been letting my Tama's happy hearts stay mostly empty, never going above 2 hearts. (I play a game when she starts whining, so that I can get a little money at least.) I've been keeping her fed, though, because otherwise I'd feel like an absolute monster. :(

Her training bar is pretty pitiful, too -- I want to potty train her, but I keep missing the opportunities, and other than that she hasn't called out for attention much. Her friendship bar -- despite my best efforts -- is full. Apparently playing one or two games a day was enough to keep her my "best friend". Heh.

However, today she became a Shelltchi. Isn't that supposed to be the "good care" teen? I realize that toddlers on the Tama-go are mostly random, but I didn't think that teens were random, too. Or am I just not being horrible enough? Should I keep her somewhat-hungry, too? Or not play any games at all? Help!

From what I've read on the growth chart, Kunoitchi is bad care, but not horrible.

I don't know about Pipotchi.

Sorry for the poor advice but I haven't got a tamago yet, so I don't know that much about it.

Hopefully some other replyer will find a growth chart and post it. :D -_-

I've actually got the growth charts open right now. :) Pipotchi is worse care than Kunoitchi. But thank you!

The main problem is, Shelltchi is listed as a "good care" teen, but I thought I was taking at least "average" or "bad" care of my tama. So it's kind of confusing.

I think it's based on care misses. You have to let your Tama beep because it's hungry or it's happy hearts are empty. Wait 15 minutes and the attention light should go off and they no long have an exclamation point above there head. After that feed her and then let it happen again and again. This is how I got my Necktietchi.

Oh, I see. I always took care of her pretty much as soon as she started yelling at me, lol, so I guess that was my mistake. Next time I'll wait until she stops whining, and we'll see how this goes. :) Thanks!

You can try leaving your tama overweight maybe...

Perfect care - Mametchi, Kuromametchi, Lovelitchi, violetchi (Odd gen)

Great Care - Kikitchi, Kuchipatchi, Memetchi (Even Gen), Chamametchi (Odd Gen)

Okay Care - Urutchi (Wooltchi), Shimashimatchi, Makiko(Odd gen), Ringotchi (Even Gen)

Bad Care - Tarakotchi, Nonopotchi, Uwasatchi, Kunoitchi

Horrible Care - Gozarutchi, Necktie-tchi, Pipotchi, Marotchi
