lol yeah! kinda funny but i saw no slot mashine just the tamagotchi arcade card system

OMG a violin!! too bad its pink. ~___~ and a toy. i'd definitely get one if it can really play since i'm a violinist myself haha )

Have you guys realized they just discontinued the whole connection/connexxion/plus series and replaced it with ID, nano, and tama-go? I feel its a sad day for neo-vintage tamas (new name for the connection, plus series)

I'm in agreement UraYoungMametchi, I worry for the future of the Tamagotchi name....

Perhaps, one day, Bandai will hear us and produce the "Tamagotchi Classic" and let us enjoy the good times of the '90's again.

I want a chibi, they look so cute and so much funner that the old ones. I am glad they are bringing back old tama's, maybe they will bring back some vintage ones!

The Nano will cost about 1300 yen (about $13 US.)

The TMGC+C, Tamagotchi-iD, etc. cost about 4800 yen (about $48 US.)

The Nano is not a replacement for the Tamagotchi-iD. A refresh of the Tamagotchi-iD is scheduled to be released in November 2010.

It looks a bit like it is just an accessory to the ID,(or a cell phone with IR) does anyone have an idea if it would be enjoyable by itself? I really really want the purple one, but only if it is a stand alone game. It kindof reminds me of the old-school tamagotchis.

Hopefully that means the original iD will drop in price :/ I can't find it on ebay for under $60 or so. Not even Jason has a price that I'm willing to pay.

Perfect! I am wanting to get a iD for Christmas, so a new one is even better How much do you think it will cost(the new iD) when it comes out, binary?

EDIT: I think the Nano is just a remake of the Mini. I looked at the Tamagotch Channel and they show it hooked to a cell phone. It also has no icons(like the care icons that you choose).

The Tamagotchi Nano does not require an iD to communicate with, in fact there is no IR port at all. You can attach the Nano to your iD or Cellphone, however.

It's not necessarily a remake of the Mini/Chibi, it's more of a Tamagotchi Accessory for the iD. There will be eight raisable characters; Mametchi, Kuchipatchi, Kikitchi, Spaceytchi, Lovelitchi, Memetchi, Chamametchi and Meloditchi.
