Oh sure, I don't understand,

How it is with you and your man,

I'm your best friend, we're in the same grade,

So yeah I think I know what you're trying to say.

You say "Oh my gosh, we're so in love"

I say "Can you please just shut up?"

"He and I, we're meant to be"

"Sure if this is SoapTV"

"Girl, you just don't understand"

"Sure I don't, so shut up man"

"We'll grow up and we'll get married"

"Sure you will, and my name's Larry"

"No it isn't, don't be sarcastic"

"Ha, I'm not, I'm being fantastic"

So you see how it goes,

Life is no Tv show,

There's no guarenteed happy ending,

Isn't reality so freaking scary?

You're not in love in the eighth grade,

But you won't hear just what I say,

So go on live your "dream life",

Till you crash down from your cloud nine.
