The Red Zone

You were looking for a summer job, and you decided... Why not try to apply for a job at the best amusement park in California? So you decide to apply, and nervously await... And then you find out that you got your job! Celebrating, you head to your new job... Who knows what you will find as you spend your time at the Red Zone? Will you find romance? Or will you spend your days burning in the hot sun, all alone? Either way, it may turn out to become the time of your life...

INFO ABOUT THE RED ZONE:

It's a huge amusement park in California, and is the biggest and best around. There are three types of employees: Vendors, Mascots and Ride workers. There are six zones in the Park:

Splash Zone (Water rides)

Kids Zone (Kiddy rides)

Thrill Zone (Thrill Rides)

History Zone (History themed rides and lots of historical things, with subzones of Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece, Colonial America and Medival Europe)

Holiday Zone (Holiday themed rides, since this takes place during the summer, summer themed with fourth of july stuff)

Science/Tech Zone (Tech/Science themed rides, and whatever else you can think of)

RULES:

No goddmodding

NO SPEAKING IN ALL CAPS OR all lowercase

Keep this RP literate, all posts have to be at least two sentences.

No swearing, if you have to, use *******.

All romance stays PG-13.

No Mary Sues or Gary Stus, your character has to have some faults

You can make up rides as you go along.

Food vendors work in different places all the time, as their food carts are placed where business will be good

Food vendors can also work in candy shops or restaurants around the park.

Personality: Athletic, kind, humorous and a typical jock teen minus the mean bully side, but has a dark side to himself.

Personality: Quiet, reserved, but once she trusts you, becomes nicer and you find out she's actually a playful, humorous type.

Looks: Brown hair that goes down to her shoulders and green eyes.

Personality: Very quiet and drawling when around customers, but loud and funny around friends. She is very far away from being perfect. She is smart but doesn't believe that does anything to her. She has many faults. She fidgets with anything, and will have a bad temper when around impatient people, whether they be friends or bystanders.

Looks: Sun

She always has a straight face and is hard to have laugh. She has stern gray eyes and very pale skin. She has long black hair, but she wants to cut it.

Name: Emily St.Claire

Age: 16

Gender: female

Works at : a lifeguard in the splash zone, she basically just goes wherever she is needed whether it's the wave pool, watersides etc.

Personality: Emily is a truly sweet girl, she never really had a large group of friends but she had a few really great friends. She looks adorable and harmless, although if you get on her bad side you will find that she isn't always that way. She Is fairly athletic but still very girly. She loves her job and has always love he water, the place she felt the freest.

Looks: Emily has a small hertshaped face and big hazel eyes surrounded in long dark lashes. She has pale skin and a few light freckles over her nose. Emily has golden blonde hair that reaches down in-between her shoulders and elbows.

Cade was sitting down on a rail near the carts of the SuperCoaster. He took a quick swig of water, and then a group of little boys came up to him. "Sorry. You aren't tall enough to ride." He had to block out the protests from the annoying little kids before they finally walked off.

Yuka sighed as she waited for customers at her cotton candy cart, which happened to be in the Splash Zone that day. She was tempted to eat the cotton candy, but somehow restrained herself.

Sun was in the Splash Zone.

"I don't even understand why I'm here," Sun said to no-one in particular. "Isn't being in a very cold, wet ride enough? Why would one need a cold treat here?" Sun sighed and took a sip from her water bottle. This day would never end. A boy, maybe 10, came up to the cart and reached in and took an Orange Popsicle. "Hey?!" Sun said, fuming. "You need to pay for that, brat!" She chased after the nimble boy, dropping her water bottle. Eventually she caught up to him and swiped the unopened package away. Probably ahd melted by now. "Try that again, and I'll break your neck next time!" She angrily picked up her water bottle, and headed back to the cart, where she resumed her usual activities.

She passed the boy again, with an angry face, eyes red from crying. He stuck out his tongue and did a rude gesture with his hands.

"Idiot," she mumbled under her breath, her face looking down at her feet.

Cade got a break and went to go cool off in the Splash Zone, where he (hopefully) could convince one of the employees to splash water on him. He noticed an ugly little brat making a rude gesture with his hands at an unhappy looking employee. Cade walked over to the boy and pushed him straight into the Lazy River ride. "Whoops." Cade walked over to Sun. "Hey."

"Hey," Sun said, a satisfied grin on her face.

"Thanks for handling that rotten kid."

"Your welcome, there's so many kids like that at this park.. Really makes you wonder why they seem to get more and more stupid each year."

Emily was currently overseeing the splash town rides, which basically meant wandering around an handling things for all the other employees and doing things like handling the small children. She chuckled softly at Cade pushing the boy into the water. She blew her whistle " No. " she scolded " There is no jumping into the water." she added lifting the child out of the water and motioned over another lifeguard who was heading to a break. " Now Katie here is going to have to take you down to the main kiosk until your parents come to retrieve you, and just be lucky that they don't here about you trying to steal ice-cream. " she warned him handing him over to the girl. She walk to the vendor cart , " Darn, real shame, he broke the rules an normally he would just be warned or asked to exit this area, but since he was unaccompanied by an adult I guess he'll have to be taken to security. Are you okay?"

Name: Fizz Hamill

Age: Fifteen

Works at: Thrill Zone, 'Haunted House' (Pwease can they have one for the thrill zone 83 PWEASEEE )

Personality: Fizz is normally friendly and has a dry, witty sense of humor and she gets along with most people, but if you know her well you'd learn not to make her snap. Her fuse is quite short and one snarky comment, and she'll yell. Keep in mind, she's very loud. She enjoys drumming, listening to music, games and living.

Looks: Fizz has long black hair that reaches her waist, emerald green catlike eyes eyes and a small mouth that's often carved into a wicked grin.. She's kind of pale and is tall, at 5'9. She wears denim shorts, a white T-shirt with a banana on it and sneakers.

Crush: Noneee at ze moment ;P

Name: Zach Hamill

Age: Seventeen

Gender: Male

Works at: Food Vendor, sells stuff like Hot dogs and Fries

Personality: Zach's more laid back and stubborn than his sister. He's friendly, but doesn't prefer to have a large social group like Fizz, because he knows how they treat people in the end. Enjoys video games, eating, cars and girls. xD

Looks: Zach has neck length brunette hair and slightly tanned skin, with warm brown eyes. He's slightly muscular and just shorter than his sister, at 5'7 . He wears a red checked shirt, board shorts and sneakers.

Crush: Nopee. He's got a girlfriend.

Other: Fizz's older brother :X

Fizz saw some lanky teenaged boys come up to her. They looked like the popular, sporty type, the kind that she despised. "May I help you?" she said bluntly, her normally smiling face twisted into a scowl. They grinned, then one said. "Hey babe, wanna come with me?" he offered, smirking. She chuckled. They were desperate. "No thank you, I have customs" she replied, feeling slightly sorry to see his expression. The front one huffed. 'We'd like to go in now" he snarled. Fizz just shook her head. "That'll be four dollars each" she said, holding her palm out expectantly. They each got some notes and a couple of coins and pressed them into her hand. She nodded, and gestured into the building, the one that was hitting on her winked as they passed by. "Have fun" she mumbled, checking her watch. It was her break. She grinned and bounded off, to visit her brother.

Zach leaned against the cart patiently, hoping someone would come by. Business was slow, and he had nothing better to do. Suddenly a young couple came up to him with three noisy children screaming. He smiled and steadied himself. "What can I get you?" he asked, eyeing the children. The tall male spoke. "Hi, can we have two hot dogs and one bag of fries?" he asked, smiling in return. "Sure thing" Zach replied, preparing two hot dogs. "Sauce?" he asked. "Both ketchup". Zach nodded and squirted the toppings on, then got the fries and salted them. This was too easy. He handed the food over and mumbled a small thank you when they handed the money over and left. He rolled his yes when he heard his loud sister apporaching.

"Hi Zach! Wanna go to Splash Zone! I'm dying to have fun!" she yelled in his ear, causing him to wince. "Sure" he mumbled, gritting his teeth as they walked over, seeing a couple more teens who worked there.

Emily was wearing a simple black oufit, a pair of short sleek cottony shorts and a tight lifegaurding tanktop over her swimsuit. She looked up and squinting in the sun. It was a very hot day and ofcourse her uniform was black, she hated the fact the she wasn't alowed to actually go into the cool water unless a child was drowning or something. She looked up at the large clock that read the time, she got a short lunch break soon, although she couldnt leave unless a manger came to take her spot, and this was one of those days where they were short handed and there wasn't exactly any extra people to man the rides and such. This day felt endless.

Cade smiled at Sun. "You're welcome. That kid had it in for him by doing that." He turned to Emily. "Hey, thanks for sending that boy to security.. That teaches him not to mess with employees."

Yuka had managed to sell at least fifteen of the pink, sticky sticks of cotton candy. She wished she was working the ice cream cart, which she looked over at enviously. At least the girl working the ice cream cart could just take a piece of ice out of the ice cream dispenser and cool off with it. Yuka fanned herself, and hoped that her break was coming up soon.

"Yeah, no problem, he had it coming. I can't stand kids like that. I feel like I must spend half of my day here yelling at them for something or another, its truly sad that they are our future." Emily rolled her eyes in disbelief. She turned slighty holding out a finger at group of children who had come off of a ride and starting running in the direction of another. " hey! NO RUNNING." She scolded. She watched the children splashing in the wave pool and cheering as it started up for another round of waves with envy.

"Our future generation sucks. I don't want to know what the generation after these kids will be." Cade said, shaking his head. "I don't even want to know what it's like at Christmas time, when Santa is around.." Cade shivered at the thought.

Emily nodded in agreement with him. 'Yes, it most deffinately does." She shuddered at the thought, "I don't even want to know or think about it. Emily glanced around the pool area still trying to maintain a watchful eye on the water park. "I'm Emily by the way." She told him smiling slightly, a little embarassed that she had forgot to introduce herself.

"and I'm Hazel"

Cade continued speaking to Emily. "I don't know if I already told you yet, but I'm Cade. I work at the Rapid Rivers Coaster in this zone (OOC: I changed it to Cade working in the Splash Zone). So many kids keep trying to get to ride even though they're like, two feet shorter than they should be to actually ride... It's so annoying. Eh, anyway, taking the conversation away from kids... Tell me more about yourself."

"No you didnt, but it's nice to meet you. " Emily told him. She nodded understanding what he was talking about. " Yes, I know exactly what you mean. The worst is trying to get them to walk back down the stairs that they had just spent 10 minutes waiting in line to get up. And its not really that hard, it says right at the bottom 'you must be this tall to ride' and all that, allthough I normally dont work the height restricted rides. There isn't much to tell... what about you?" She asked him curiously.
