i've been running my morino for a few days now and he turned into an adult this morning. i got a minotchi! i had guessed my imotchi was around 50g when it went into a cocoon, and sure enough minotchi weighed 53g. i took good care of imotchi, always filling his hungry hearts and doing a mix of depending on the games (not too much because i wanted it to gain weight faster!) and saving him from the foot squashing him! for the happy hearts.

i held the cocoon pretty temperate, letting it slide towards the cold side a little more. this is the first time i get minotchi. i have only gotten 5 adults on my morino: koganetchi, gejitchi, chobi-tamatchi, and now minotchi. the only obvious pattern i was able to notice care-wise was the weight and temperature the cocoon is kept at, but i want to know if anyone has really gotten the max - lowest weights for each character? ETA: minotchi's lowest weight seems to be 30g.

what about the secret characters? right now i'm trying to lower minotchi's weight as much as possible and feeding him leaves to see if maybe i can get the ants.

according to the pixelmood growth chart, i'm guessing i would have gotten cocoon 'B' then because i kept the cocoon cooler, minotchi. ( https://www.pixelmood.com/morino.htm ) but the weight difference between the first 3 cocoons eludes me (if it is weight that decides on what cocoon you get). have the characters you've gotten match up with this chart?

discuss the peculiar morino and the themes you've been able to pick up while playing! what character do you get the most? the morino is def a favourite of mine. it is so chill.. i even take it to the office with me, lol.

I don't have a Morino (top of my "wish" list... ;) ) so I can't really help you out with specifics, but I wonder if this growth chart prepared by -Ra- (for the TamaTalk Library/Reference Section) might be useful (in case you hadn't seen it)?

The other site that is good for "ancestor" info is Mimitchi.com: https://www.mimitchi.com/html/tindex.htm - you might get some clues from the Log info there?

Good luck with the experiments :)

oh, nice! thank you! i had in fact seen the chart but somehow skipped over the secret characters on there. i wonder if anyone has ever gotten them? i've been looking them up pretty extensively every few years and i never see anything conclusive!

ETA: i've also read the mimitchi logs several times too, hahaha. that site is huge! it's the first tamagotchi site i ever frequented from back in the day! glad it's still intact.

i hope you can get a morino soon, they are really great! so nice to just go along your day with. def. one of my favourites!
