My name is Shylee and I own a Tamagotchi Music Star. I'm 13 and I live in Canada. Here to explain to all the newbies out there; Taking care of a Tamagotchi is taking care of a life.
That was a bit cheesy but it's true. Most parents buy these virtual pets for 2 good reasons I could think of two seconds ago.
- They can't trust you/afford with a real pet (Dog & Cat).
- Wants you to learn on taking care as you grow up.
I could also say; some parents are paranoid on things happening to you. For example 15 & Pregnent

As I said, I have a Music Star and I'm still on my 1st generation. My Tamagotchi is a Mimitchi and it's 2 years now. I'm pretty old to have one now but it just takes me to the days when I was 6. This topic is mainly about taking care of you little one so lets get started
I'm a girl.
If your Tamagotchi appears to be a girl, You would always want it to be a Dazzilitchi, Mimitchi, Maciko or a Memetchi (Search on Google and these Tamagotchi names are MY suggestions. It's fine if you don't follow) It might only work if you don't feed your young one BABY MILK. Baby Milk will somehow involve with your growth (You didn't hear from me).
I'm a boy.
If your Tamagotchi appears to be a boy, it's best to have Kuchipatchi, Mametchi or a Dreamtchi
Just like a girl, DO NOT FEED IT BABY MILK.
Woot! Imma TODDLER!
Your Tama will be a Toddler on the exact day it was born. For my Tamagotchi, Being a toddler was the HARDEST one of all, I had to keep going to classes no matter how stressed I was. I wanted my generation to be absolutely perfect. And to pass the audition in the later stage (Adult). For now, take my advice and keep playing games or practice. Don't forget, NO BABY MILK and PRAISE them so they could earn your trust as an a proud Tama owner.
Tweenager--;
Your Tama will be a Teenage in appox; 24 hours 13 minutes. As a teenager, you will meet your future band (You don't get to choose). But it won't be as hard as a child. In the teenage era, you will just keep practicing with your band so you could pass the auditions together. Take my advice; 3 times a day keeps the judges say YAY . Also don't forget to play games to earn points!
Adulthood like Robinhood... NOT.
When your Tama reaches 2 years, it will eventually transform into an Adult (50 hours). As you grow, your band members grow too. And will soon be judged overall training. If you didn't pass first time, There will be 2 more auditions. My audition didn't go well first time, but They accepted me 2nd time. Make sure before the judging, get ALL I say ALL your points 999 (Mine was up till there too.) so you could pass easily first time. And in the middle of the proceeding of the 2nd audition, you will get to perform street bands and earn points. By the time you are an adult, you couldn't eat BABY FOOD anymore so SAVE UP. You could earn points by playing games at the Fruit market and Cake shop (All in the instructions).
Married like Bonnie & Clyde
At age 5, your music teacher will come over to your house and will match make you with another Tama. Boy Tama if you're a girl. Girl Tama if you're a boy.But in my opnion, get your band member to PROPOSE TO YOU.

NEGLECTION
DO NOT. EVER. DO.NOT.EVER. Neglect your poor Tama. I don't care whether at school, toilet, movie theater I DON'T LIKE REASONS. Just check them every 20 minutes at MAX. and 10 minutes at MIN.
