I was just curious to see how accents vary. People say that I say the word 'tamagotchi' strangely. I say it 'Tah-ma-gotchi'. I'm british by the way if you want to know my kind of accent.

I think most Americans say Tom-a-gotchi. If you watch any videos with American Tamagotchis and American people, they do say it like that.

Yeah, I noticed that. Was watching a debugging video on youtube and the person who made it was like 'tom-a-gotchi.' I've always said tah-ma-gotchi. Also on the american ads, they say 'tom-a-gotchi' as well.

Oh wait, I accidentally voted Tah-ma-gotchi, but I actually say it like Tom-a-gotchi.

I though you meant Tah as in when the doctor tells you to say "Aaaaah" You know? xD

Tah-Ma-Gotchi... thats just how i say it... i think most europeans do say it that way

Tammy-gotchi sounds super redneck when I say it. Haha

I'm from Florida, by the way, but I try not to sound too southern when I speak. >_>

I think for me it's just Tah-ma-gotchi, first had a little trouble figuring it out, because in my language we'd write the phonetic way of speaking it even different. :)

I say Tah-ma-gotchi, because I'm from Brazil.

(Y'know, some sort of speech! XD

What's the difference between Tah and Tom?
Tah, is like t and then ah with the short a sound. Ah Ah or when you're just saying the short A. A lot of brits say it that way (me included)

Tom is like 'Tomagotchi' as in the name Thomas. A lot of american people say it that way.

The one with the long A sound is 'Tar-ma-gotchi'
