Hey, I'm new here but have always loved and collected tamagotchis since I was a teenager. I have an android phone and I kept waiting for a tama app to be made. Its here! Its fan made, but really good! Its modeled after the original tamagotchi. I've e-mailed the creator about possibly going further with the app... angelgotchi and so forth, and he said its something he wants to pursue. So, for those of you interested, search "tamagotchi" or "tamadroid" in the android market, and it will come up! Its a really good app!

Oooh cool. I wish I could have an App.... *Falls on ground laughing* Maybe I can convince people to try to get it anyway on their Iphones/Ipads/A blackberry...... (which I often want to put a giant card-das on.... which will most certainly get me into trouble... even if I placed it with two tiny pieces of tape........) I have a Rumor 2... I love the sucker too much to give it up.

Its now against the rules here to put a Video in your signature... You need to remove it. We all had a vote on this a while ago on allowing it or not. (Its because its a page stretcher, Its larger then the allowed image in your signature which I believe is fairly small.) It says the size limit on the signature part of your profile.

I saw the screenshots and whatnot for the app just moments ago, and it does look like an excellent fan remake! Too bad I don't have an Android phone, otherwise I would probably try this one out. I'm pretty sure a lot of people will be very happy to hear about this app.

I wish they would come up with an app for the iphone. Apple products are so limited, it's terribly frustrating!
All they have at the moment is some tamatown game, and it's not that great

While I would also love an iPhone version of a Tamagotchi, a few issues present themselves with this scenario. First, Apple is the middleman when it comes to approving apps for their App Store. Based on what I know regarding branding, Apple would probably reject an app that is copyright to Bandai - unless the developer could provide proof that the app was approved by Bandai. Unlike the Android version, I don't believe there is an approval process that signifies whether or not the app can be published for the Android OS - correct me if I'm wrong.

Secondly, if Bandai were to produce a digital version of the Tamagotchi, it could potentially hurt their toy sales as many consumers already own either an iPod touch and/or iPhone. So I think this is the reason why the iPhone doesn't have a Tamagotchi app - instead they have produced a game to try and fill the iPhone and iPod touch market.

Yeah, I've got an Android phone, it looks pretty neat, I must say, but I don't know if I'd want it haha. The reviews for it are TERRIBLE, and I already have my iD L.

There are a few users over at TamaZone who are currently participating in a Devilgotch/Tamagotchi Monster (for Android) Hatch. It may give you some insight on the app as well as a good idea who to speak to if you have any questions. Hope this helps!
