Getting too old for tamas?

I'm 16 and have been playing with Tamas on and off since they first came out in America. I have had every type that I know of that has been released in America. Yesterday I went with my grandpa to FINALLY get the Tamago and on the whole ride over to Toys R Us he was teasing me and calling me a little kid and asking when I would outgrow "those stupid toys". It got me thinking, I've never met anybody in person my age who still plays with Tamas who is my age or older. Every time someone sees me playing with them, they point and kinda laugh. I usually don't care because I know that most of the admin and other users on here are older than I am and still play with Tamas. I want to ask two things: Is there an age where you are too old to play with Tamas? and if you are older than 14 or so, do people tease you for playing with Tamas?
