The location is a lie
Welcome to Lincoln Academy- a special academy in Manhattan, where only the most talented students make it in. Only students who have great talent in a specific academic subject, sport, fine/visual art (or anything else other than academics, sports and the arts you can think of) make it in- unless the student is from a filthy rich family and paid their way in, or just are lucky and happen to be the child of a celebrity. Nonetheless, only the most prestigious students make it in to this academy- which is better in more ways than just the great academic program. The Academy is close to all kinds of awesome, amazing tourist spots- just to name a few, the National Museum of History, Central Park, Carnegie Hall, and of course, the Statue of Liberty- all of these spots are either within a few blocks or easily accessible via subway.

PLACES YOU CAN GO IN THIS RP:

The Academy itself.

Dorms and apartments

The rest of the city, only try to go to actual places. Don't make up strange places like "SANDY BEACH"

RULES:

No Sues. You know what this means.

Literacy- 6 sentences minimum a post. Good grammar and spelling is expected.

I must accept your form before we begin!

No controlling other's characters.

I hold the right to kick you if you break rules.

Keep romances pg-13

Follow forum rules

Try to be roommates with someone else- even co-ed is fine. It would be interesting.

Name: Olivia Watson

Age: Sixteen

Gender: Female

Personality: From a distance, Olivia seems like the kind girl that hates everything and everyone. This is a result of a somewhat pessimistic outlook on relationships with other people. She doesn't make too many friends, as she ends to force them away from her to avoid complications and drama. She likes to make herself out to be a strong sturdy-minded person, she is actually very vulnerable and hard on herself in her own mind. Therefore, the few friends she has mean the world to her, and she relies on them like they were her heartbeat. Olivia is actually a sweet girl who has a big open heart for anyone who takes the chance to get close to her, but she has a hard time getting close to other girls, since she is used to interacting with other boys.

Appearance(No anime pics): Olivia is a small girl, reaching about 5'3" and weighing only 115 pounds. She is very lean and athletic hanks to many years of vigorous soccer practices. She has tanned skin and freckles across her cheekbone, which really bring out her blue-gray eyes. Olivia has medium-length, naturally straight, dirty blonde hair that reaches just below her shoulder blades with bangs that sweep over to the left side of her face. She usually wears it in a messy braid with a headband in, or in a ponytail with prewrap (please say someone else knows what this is for?) when she is at soccer. Olivia doesn't care much for elaborate styles, as she wears various soccer shorts and a simple t-shirt or hoodie constantly.

Talent: Olivia plays as a right outside back in soccer, a sport she has played since she was only four years old.

Other: She is close friends with Peter.

Name: Peter Krampen

Age: Sixteen

Gender: Male

Personality: Peter is a very outgoing boy who adores communicating with others. He tries to fix others problems, which often gets him in unnecessary trouble, but he gets a huge sense of pride when he sees someone happy again. Peter has a way of getting people to like him quickly, and for all of the right reasons. He has a very charming person and is a true gentleman at heart. He is fiercely loyal and protective of his friends, family, and/or lover. He forgives and forgets and sometimes gives one too many second and third chances, which often leads to a backstabbing on his behalf.

Appearance(No anime pics): Peter has messy brown hair that he purposely styles into a borderline bedhead-head fashion. He has green eyes and light freckles on his cheeks. He has fair skin that tans very easily, but he doesn't go outside much. He is tall, about 5'9" and relatively thin and lanky. He wears jeans and a hoodie almost all of the time, but he is capable of dresing up spontaneously to throw people off sometimes.

Talent: Peter plays piano and has a hidden talent as a fiction writer.

Other: Peter keeps empty notebooks strewn around his dorm in reachable places for when he has spontaneous bursts of inspiration. He is also friends with Olivia, and she often forces him to play soccer with her even though he is awful.

EDIT: Peter's personality seems horribly worded to me, so if you want me to edit it I won't be offended haha

EDIT EDIT: Added Peter's looks :)

(No, his personality is fine. Olivia is definitely accepted, and as for Peter, once you get the pic/description up, I'll accept Peter too.)

(Wanna make my form, but I'll have to do it tomorrow morning, since I'm about to go to bed. >.<)

(Thank you! I fixed Peter's appearance, but I'll try to find a reference picture for his hair in the future)

Name: Derek Newton

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Personality: Derek is a slob, and is awfully lazy. He dislikes schoolwork and while he is rather intelligent, chooses not to work super hard on his schoolwork thus resulting in him always getting C's and B-'s at the best. He doesn't mind being late for class, and nor does he care about the "No gum allowed in classrooms" rule. He's become an expert at chewing gum without being caught by the teachers. Derek is basically the type who would sit around the house, and watch movies instead of do his homework. Nonetheless, his athletic talent is immense, as a result of hard training.

Appearance(No anime pics): Derek has short, blond hair with bangs that go about 3/4 of the way down from his forehead to his eyes. He has blue eyes that are basically sky blue, only not quite on the dot. He's about 6'1, and weighs 154 lbs. Since he is in football after all, he's rather muscular, but not to the point he looks fake and gross and then is doomed to never have a girlfriend ever due to having overly fake looking muscles like those disgusting people you see on bodybuilder magazines. Derek wears the usual American teenager outfit- AKA jeans, t-shirts, and if necessary to keep warm and dry, a hoodie. Sometimes, he'll wear basketball shorts too. Since he's a jock and all, he wears Nikes since no jock in the US doesn't wear athletic shoes around.

Talent: He's an awesome quarterback in football- secretly, he's pretty good at acoustic guitar, but doesn't really admit it in public.

Other: Not much else. His hobby other than football is guitar.

As soon as class let out for the day, Olivia shuffled back to her dorm with a loaded bag slung over one shoulder. She walked into her room silently although she had no roommate. She knew she had only arrived earlier that morning , but she had expected someone else in the room by the time she got back from her first day of classes. She set her bag down by the bed to the right and moved over to the dresser on her half. Naturally, the only things she bothered to unpack when she arrived were her soccer clothes and equipment. She slipped on a different pair of soccer shorts and peeled off her hoodie before grabbing the soccer bag on the floor. She headed out of her dorm and didn't bothering locking up in case her roommate didn't have a key. She walked out of the building and headed towards the empty expanse of grass behind the building to practice her touches.

[is this alright?]

(Yeah :3)

When the last class of the day finally let out, Derek simply got up, grabbed his bag, pushed in his chair to his desk with his foot, and then simply left the classroom. Chewing sugar free bubblegum, he pushed his way past the giant crowd of students who were heading out of the Academy and then waved to some friends he recognized. When he finally managed to get out of the crowd and out of the building, he glanced around and then spotted the dorm building. Walking to the dorm building, he noticed it was a pretty nice day for the most part. Good. He could probably go get the pop-up laundry hamper he had and his football and practice throwing long, accurate passes straight into the circular laundry hamper. In any case, he finally reached the dorm building. Digging in his pockets for his keys, he eventually found them and made his way up the stairs, past other students heading back to their dorms to the dorm rooms. When he reached his door, he put his key in the door, and tried the door. Odd- it was locked. He unlocked it and tried again- and this time it opened. He was surprised to see there was someone's bags already placed by one of the beds. He went ahead and placed his bags at the empty bed.

Olivia juggled the ball from one foot to another for a little while until she grew tired. Puzzled, she looked around for her water and then realized she forgot it up in the room. Sighing, she gathered her ball up and tucked her bag into a hidden corner of the building and headed back up towards the dorm. Up at the dorm, she tried the door and sauntered in. She frowned when she saw Derek in the room. "Are you my roommate?" She asked and headed towards her bed, where her water rested right where she forgot it. She unscrewed the cap and took a long sip before sitting down on her bed with her ball in her lap.

When he heard someone enter the room, Derek turned around and was shocked to see his roommate was a girl. For a few seconds, he was shocked and didn't say anything. Finally, he said, "Woah. Wait a second here..." He walked past Olivia towards the door, and checked the number on the door. Then he looked at his number on his key. It was the same. He walked back into the room. "So. I guess these dorms are co-ed. Err..." Feeling rather awkward, he sat down on the bed. He really wasn't the type of person who could talk to girls very easily- although.. He looked up, and studied her for a moment. Judging by the soccer ball in her lap, she definitely looked to be the athletic type. Well, at least she was the athletic type- the more girly the girl, the harder it was for him to relate and talk to a girl. "Uh, so, judging from that ball, you play soccer, huh?"

"Yeah, I've been playing my whole life. And you? What are you here for?" She asked and slipped the cleats off of her feet. She made a mental note to go grab her bag after she was done talking to Derek. She slid her bookbag off of the bed and sat against the headboard and lazily spun the ball on her fingers. She looked back over at Derek and quickly added, "By the way, I'm Olivia Watson, nice to meet you."

Derek fell back on his bed, exhausted from school, and stared up at the ceiling. "I'm here since I'm pretty da** good at football. Not the football you play, but the other football. The one middle aged men watch on Sunday while drinking beer and laying on their sofas." He tossed the ball up in the air, watching it go up in a neat spiral motion. As he caught it, he added, "Name's Derek. Nice to meet you too."

Olivia resisted the small urge to wrinkle her nose at the mention of the word "football". Olivia never liked the sport, and she couldn't help but find football players rude and arrogant, but that was a whole other story. So far, however, Derek seemed nice enough to prove her biased view wrong. "Oh, I should have guessed. From the ball of course," she said awkwardly. "What position do you play?"

"Quarterback. I have pretty good aim at throwing footballs, which is mainly why I got accepted here in the first place." He sat up, and then faced her, holding his football in his hands. "So, what position do you play in soccer? I played for a little bit when I was a little kid since soccer was super popular where I grew up. I ended up switching to football in the end, though, since all my buddies switched. I kinda just went with what everybody else did for most of my life.

"Oh, that's too bad. Soccer only gets better as you get older," she said with a smile. "Oh well, maybe I can learn a thing or two from you, I have horrible aim with my hands." Olivia laughed, more to herself than anything, and tossed the ball up in the air and caught it before continuing. "I play right outside back, or defense. The terminology changes from place to place or so I've heard. My old coach sometimes put me up at forward, but I didn't like it too much. What did you play when you were still in soccer?" She asked.

[if you see any weird words that don't really make sense, I apologize. My iPhone likes to change words if i don't pay attention, and I usually don't haha]

Derek smiled. "I dunno, throwing a soccer ball is a lot more different than throwing a football, but the motion is almost the same. Anyway, let me think here about what position I played in the past." Derek put his hand up to his chin, reminiscent of the Thinker statue. "Oh yeah, I played midfielder- well, at least, half of the time. I always seemed to end up on the same team as this one guy who was about as good at playing midfielder as I was, so the two of us basically shared the position. Sometimes, I got stuck at playing forward, but I didn't mind since it's not too different from playing midfielder. I wasn't very good at kicking though, since I always seemed to end up hitting the ball on the posts or watching it go in a totally different direction altogether."

Olivia chuckled to herself and let the ball fall to the floor. She watched it bounce across the room and come to a stop in the corner. "Yeah, I guess you're right. I can do throw ins, but that is about all I can do with this aim, and that's cool that you played midfield. My older brother used to play that position, he was great at it." She grinned at him and fished the schedule out from her bag on the floor. "What grade are you in?"

Putting his football behind him on the bed, Derek stretched his arms high towards the ceiling, and let out a yawn, squeezing his eyes shut. "Mmmm.. Well, I'm a junior- so that would be 11th grade. I just turned 17, like a month ago. Anyway..." He reopened his eyes and put his arms down, relaxing. "What about you?" Picking up his football again, he tossed it up in the air and casually caught it, in a fluid motion.

"Oh, I'm a junior too! I'm only sixteen though, but my birthday is in a month. My parents put me in school a year before everyone my age was. Im always the youngest in my grade, but it makes things interesting," Olivia said and glanced at her scheule before putting it away again. She had run out of things to ask him, so she just watched him play with his football for a bit before fixing her eyes on the ceiling.

"Yeah, it does for the most part..." Derek continued to play with his football. "Anyway, are you going to eat in the dormitory cafeteria for dinner?" He asked, as he finally caught his ball a final time and then held it there in his hands. "I probably will, but I'm sorta thinking about hitting the city to go look for a nice, small diner to enjoy dinner in. The cafeteria will probably be really packed."

"I'm not sure what I'm dong quite yet. You're the first person I've talked to since I got here, so yeah, I don't know. I'll figure it out soon enough I guess," Olivia said and shrugged. She stretched her arms out to the side and glanced around the room. She stood up and walked over to her drawer and pulled out a pair of swears and a tanker and set Rhein on the edge of her bed.
