I think the tamago is cool, but what's your opinion

It's bulky but Lovelitchi is on there. :) I got her once. It's also nice to see Necktietchi on an american tama. :) I didn't like the little cave thingy tho. I also think it's bad because there's no lightswitch or item thing built in. You have to buy it. :(

What's with the cave thing?? I don't understand.

Now - I love the Tama-Go. Absolutely LOVE it. The downside is the size, but in reality, it's nothing compared to some of the devices that people carry around and have GLUED to them.

love the tama-go but hate the tamatown.it often unable to connect to the server.this is such an epic fail of the website :hitodetchi:

Yes Tamatown is quite frustrating. I am trying to log into it now and it won't let me. I really do like the tama-go. I like how you can potty train, play so many different games with the figures and get various items from the figures as well. It's neat that the mate sticks around and they are a little family until the baby is ready to be on his own. Yes, the size is quite large but I like how it stands up. Overall I do love the tamago! Now let's get one in color in English!

I'm ok with the TamaGo, but after getting a Music Star I realized it didn't equal up to the Music Star at all. But I do sometimes come back to it, for certain features like the Park and Remodling your house.

I think the Tamagotchi\Tamago is a companion. a friend. an amazing idea. <3

It took me a little while to warm to it, but I have grown to enjoy the simplicity of the Tama-Go. It's refreshingly undemanding, especially once your character is potty trained, and the growth process moves along at a pleasing rate. It's just a pity that it's too big to carry around in a jeans pocket. I do like to perch it on my desk when I'm at home, though.

I personally think that the Tama Go is an excelent fresh idea, i think they need to go back to the drawing board with the size, but, it is only bulky because of the figures though.

I like the tamago, but i reeeeallly hate the size, which makes me tend to not play with mine in comparison with my others.

I definately had the potential to be fantastic. Unfortunately, due to the fact that the Tama-Go had no features unless you bought figures, and because of the lack of advertising, it wasn't as good as it should have been.

I didn't really like it. After two months my Tamago stopped working because I dropped it too many times :(

And getting certain characters is frustrating due to the fact that I didn't have much time to care for it, and the growth cycles were too fast. :(

I like it. I hated the first version, simply because I couldn't deal with the screen cover getting scratched up so easily.

I got the second generation (purple) one, and even though it's the same game wise, aesthetically it's much nicer, and my complaints about the build of the first versions didn't spoil my enjoyment.

It's a good model if you have a busy lifestyle. It survives well, and doesn't require too much attention. If I had more time on my hands, though, I'd prefer a music star or V5/ V4.5.

I hate the potty training feature. Totally hate. Not exaggerating. In fact, hate it is an understatement. I think it was the worst invention of all Tamagotchis, and I DO know quite a lot about Tamas.

I hate is because of this:

Potty training is: Once your Tama becomes a toddler, every hour and 40 minutes tehre are a few crucial seconds where you need to catch it and select the toilet icon quick. In these few seconds, wavy lines appear besdie the Tama character. It doesn't beep when you need to do this. It continues into the teen stage, and is needed to get any character above Okay Care level.

Sounds OK? Sounds quite fun? It's not. I own five Tama-Gos and about ten figures, so I know about it. It was a nightmare getting a Perfect Care adult. The Tama-Go would be among my top 5 favourite Tamas if it weren't for this feature.

What I've learned from wasting money on Angels and Tama-Gos and TMGC+Cs is: I'll always be a mid-connections fan <3

So I'm gonna stick with my good old mid-connections and try some earlier connections too. I guess Tamagotchi fans can be divided into 3 groups: Old School Tama fans (vintage fans), Connections fans (me) and Modern Tama fans (Tama-Go fans). Sure, the groups can mix, but I somehow think I'd better stick to my V5.

Eh my opinion really wont matter to the ones who love the the Tama-Go, but I absolutely dislike it. If it is a virtual pet, WHY WON'T IT DIE?! And the accessories are really expensive, another thing... I really don't think my suppliers sell them anymore (U.s.A) I haven't seen them in toys-r-us. Another thing, they won't need to be took en care of if they don't die.... .. Also, the v.4-v.2 have the same features except for the size, the characters, and the immortality feature. Soooo no tamago for me. 'w' :D

The Tamago is good for new Tamagotchi fans and for people with a busy-life style, but it isn't a really good one for people who like the 'old' Tamas better.

I think it's a really disappointing Tamagotchi, there isn't much to do on it(especially me since I'm not allowed to buy any figures) except to remodel it or go to the Park.

Not a Tama I would recommend...

I get in and out of it, just due to the size. But I have gotten back into it, and it's so good because I'm taking a new position at work, which has me working til midnight every night for five weeks, and possibly a bit after, and will be going to school full time next fall. So, size or not, I like that it kind of takes care of itself, and can be potty trained, etc. It's so low key, laid back and low maintenance, that it makes me feel like I have an actual pet with me. It's quite the companion.

I love how it stands up, so that you don't have to have it on its back, and it's something that I can easily find, and grasp when it's in my purse.

The only thing I don't like about the first version is the fact that *#*^$(Y^* screen gets so scratched up that I have to take it OFF in order to actually SEE my little pet now. I put the cover on when I go out so that it can keep getting scratched and not mess up the other, more delicate screen. But at home I've gotta take it off or I can't see it properly.

That being said, a little bit before xmas, I am going to go and purchase one of the new wave versions. I'll see if they have it at Toys R Us, but if not, I'll buy it online. Because the iD L case and retracted screen is fabulous, and since I already love the Tama-GO, it's just a step up :)

Just like any Tamagotchi, it has its' pros and cons. I can't say that I absolutely love, in and out, one specific Tamagotchi. They've all got small little things that get in the way, or agitate, and they've all got things that make us rejoice that they exist. :) :tarakotchi:

Absolutely love the tama-go, mostly BECAUSE of it's size, I love it's bulkiness, it feels sturdy to me :p

Also it got good features, a nice growth process, and good gotchi characters, potty training might be hard, but that's just because a perfect care level gotchi shouldn't be EASY to get. Everyone complains about this particular thing, but I really like that it's decently hard to get a perfect care gotchi, since it's a challenge. People who complain it's to hard are just to "lazy" to try get it the hard way, but I don't mean that that's a bad thing, I just think it's correct to have challenges.

Also I've had an entama in the past, with several connection version, but this tama-go seems to have bits and pieces of several version of tamagotchis, making it a well rounded device, which only leaves room for improvement in a later stage of production of new devices, by adding more features to it. But that simply isn't really a problem for the tama-go, since it's well rounded, which makes it perfect for me just now.

I've had a p1, p2, several connections, music stars, entamas, an angel, and several other types, and love them all, each has it's own quality, and the tama-go tries to take bits and pieces of what I like about those features, and it has accomplished that for me atleast :D

Now we can talk day and night about how bad or good the tama-go is, but what's important is, if you like it, you like it, if you don't, you don't, but we all love tamagotchi in general, and just keep playing :D
