Among Humans

Have you ever bothered looking harder at some of those people on the subway train? The people who you walk by in a crowd? No? Well, maybe you should look harder. Because they're there, creatures of different origins. Hiding in a human form, they exist. Creatures like vampires, werewolves, succubus, and other strange creatures are there, living among humans.

It wasn't until recently that some humans discovered a mythological creature, and soon enough, a hunt to kill off or capture every single one of the non-humans has begun. Hunters, some of human nature, or of very clever creatures who were sly enough to decide the best way not to get caught was to catch other creatures, have devices that allow them to track the blood of non-humans.

So, if you aren't human, you'd better run, or risk being shot or captured for study by a hunter.

Watch out..

SETTING: This takes place in an average suburban town. Not a tiny one, or a giant city, but a decently sized town that has what you would find in your own city.

CHARACTERS: You may play any mythological creature you wish, or an ordinary human. You can either be playing a hunter, a hiding creature, or a completely normal human. Good places to look for mythological creatures include wikipedia, and sites you can find on google. I would appreciate creativity for this RP, which means I don't want fifty vampires and werewolves, as there are some RPs out there already where you can play those. It would be awesome to see cool mythological creatures (Like from Japanese mythology, or European mythology) here.

I expect basic literacy, so at least 2 decent sentences a post.

Name: Damien Kaiser

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Looks: Damien has a very dark red hair, so dark it can appear brown in most lights. His hair is relativity long, the front stopping right at his eyes, covering the slightly, but enough so that he can still se. For his attire, Damien tends to wear a Black t-shirt and leather jacket, along with black jeans, giving him a goth look. His eyes are red, but most people can not see them because him his hair. He stands around 5'8 and weighs about 185 pounds. He is also very pale because he is a vampire. He is not exactly skinny, just fit.

Personality: Although Damien will appear to be a stereotypical goth, he is not. Damien hates all the other creatures. When he sense's another creature's presence, he'll confront them no matter what, often fighting them. When someone confronts him, Damien will act coldly unless you manage to befriend him, which barely happens. Otherwise, Damien is very mysterious, keeping to himself and not being very trusting.

Race: Half Vampire, Half Human

Abilities: Damien has all the basic vampire powers, such as strength, speed, and stealth, but because he is half human his powers are not as strong as other's.

Other(Hunted or Hunter?): Hunter, although he tends to hide from other hunters as well. Basically, he'll kill other creatures, but is still hunted by the humans.

Name: Saffron "Saffy" Turner

Age(If something that never ages and always keeps same look, then any number fine): 17, but including years of when she was a cat, she's lived a total of 30 years.

Gender:　Female

Looks(No anime): Saffy's human form has dark, black a little past shoulder length hair, which she leaves loose, or in a neat ponytail. Her bangs are pinned back by pins to the right that keep her bangs out of her eyes. She has amber eyes. Heightwise, she isn't really tall, and is about 5'4. She weighs 110 lbs, rather light since she isn't a couch potato. Her body isn't really muscular, but is lean. She prefers wearing casual clothing, as she figures wearing anything else would be too conspicuous looking, especially since the hunters are around now. Mainly, Saffy will wear her favorite green light jacket, a t-shirt, jeans, and simple sneakers. She wears a necklace with a star, which is homage to the collar she once wore when she was a cat.

Personality: Saffy is a rather outgoing person. She definitely doesn't mind talking to others and doing stuff that some people would be scared to do. She is energetic, and always pretty upbeat. Of course, outgoing doesn't mean she isn't the nicest person, she is really isn't. She dislikes people who approach her and treat her harshly at first (Duh), or people who just treat her as if she is their best friend, even if she just met them. She also dislikes people who are overly happy-go-lucky, since they make her mad. You can tell she isn't exactly the most positive person, as she tends to be more of a realist. Saffy is clever, and very good at analyzing situations and making good decisions based upon what she thinks.

Race: Saffy is a Kasha, a demon/yokai from japanese mythology. She was once a cat, but died and is now a Kasha.

Abilities: Saffy's powers include being able to turn into a feline form, in which she can have all the powers of a cat, as well as the power to fade and reappear, as she is basically a spirit/ghost.

Other(Hunted or Hunter?): Hunted. However, she is very good at tricking people and hiding, so she's been able to escape pretty well.

Name: Solomon Latchkey

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Looks: A tall (standing at about 6'3), frighteningly gaunt and skinny boy. He almost looks like even a gust of wind could carry him off, though he is far stronger than he appears. He has white blonde hair, nearly more wispy than he himself, and nearly translucsent skin. His eyes are contrastingly dark, though, and are an attractive swirl of coppers and browns. The rest of his features are angelic and light as well, and as for his wardrobe, it's nothing to showy, a t-shirt and jeans will do.

Personality: Solomon is very offset, always appearing to be in his own little world. This is not to say he's anti-social, just a little awkward. He's also fairly charming, and knows from experience that he could seduce anyone given the chance. He's prone to mood swings, often fairly quickly, but aside from that he's relatively calm and at ease.

Race: Elemental Wind demon (This is sort of a creature of my own making, is this ok?)

Abilities: Disappearing and appearing at will, he can also travel the air like a hust of smoke. He has frightening control over wind for a demon of his age, though he's not to showy about it.

Name: Ava Lily Webster.

Age: 16.

Gender: Female.

Looks: Ava has naturally straight strawberry blonde hair that goes o the middle of her back with a layered side bang that she's trying to grow out. She has hazel-blue eyes with long brown lashes, and she puts mascara on them to make them darker. She has naturally peachy colored skin, but in the summer she tans. She has a small, pixie like nose and a bright smile with full lips. She doesn't really have many freckles or acne, so she doesn't wear much concealed or foundation or any of that. She stands around 5'7", is very thin and a little curvy.

Personality: Ava is a daring girl, and she has her own style. She likes to take chances to see where they'll take her. Her parents are very rich, so she kind of gets what she wants most of the time but she's still pretty down to earth. She can do some crazy things when she wants to, and when she's old enough she wants to explore the world. She's pretty adventurous and very curious, which is mostly a bad thing. Her parents always tell her to keep her hands in her lap so she doesn't touch anything dangerous. She also loves to play sports and, surprisingly, loves ballet. She had been doin ballet since she was 2 years old and it was always her dream to do pointe, which she has been doing for almost 5 years. Ava usually wears off the shoulder shirts, crop tops, skinny jeans, pencil skirts, little ditsy dresses and letterman jackets.

Other: Just an average human. So I'm guessing she's hunted.

Saffy was walking around town, out on a shopping errand. She kept her eye out for the hunters, knowing fully well they were around somewhere. She could tell who the hunters were, by looking for whoever was holding the thing that resembled a radar gun which was the tracker that looked for non human blood. It really was a pain to get around town, with the stupid hunters.

Name: Isra Dunshae

Age: Almost 17

Gender: Female

Looks: Isra has straight, layered pitch black hair that goes just past her shoulders and is in contrast to her pale complexion and light green eyes. She is of average height, around 5'6" and often just wears casual clothes such as a shirt/hoodie and jeans. She has the lean body of an active animal - not fat or overly muscley but not skinny either. Her eyes are the most defining feature because they remain the same and often stand out when she is in her other forms. Isra doesn't have any noticeable blemishes except for a faint birthmark on the left side of her collar bone in the shape of a cats eye and a tattoo on the back of her neck of a pentagram that she has had since she was a baby.

Personality: Isra is not a very trusting person, mainly because she has been let down many times in the past; not to mention that she is one of the hunted. Saying that, she is fairly laidback and easy going but things have gotten tense since the humans have known. Isra can be blunt and tries her best to have a sense of humour, especially in the dark times. She is shifty and secretive and has gotten quite good at acting completely normal and avoiding suspicion. She is quite quirky and odd.

Race: Shapeshifter. She shifts into any member of the feline family, but her main form is a kellas cat. These animals are about the size of a small dog or a fox. They have a jet-black coat sprinkled with white guard hairs that make the animal appear to glisten in the moonlight. That, along with glowing green eyes give the cats a very supernatural appearance indeed.

Name: Lucian "Luke" Melark

Age: 61, though he looks around 21

Gender: Male

Looks: He has tan skin, with bright gray, cat-like eyes, that contrast greatly with his skin. His teeth are sharper than that of a human's, giving him quite a wicked grin. He's fairly tall and well-built, muscular but not of Schwarzenegger caliber. He has dyed-white hair, which he gels up in spikes. He also has bat-like wings, however, due to a birth defect, they grew too small to be able to support his weight.

Personality: Luke is a very flamboyant (half) person. Not much fazes him, as he looks to the bright side on almost all things. He does take some things seriously, but usually there's nothing that really concerns him enough for that. He's self-centered, and he really only ever looks out for number one. Don't get me wrong, he can be fun to be around, but if you get in a jam, don't expect him to get you out of it- especially not without a price.

Race: Warlock

Abilities: He's the offspring of a human and a demon, therefore making him half-human, half-demon(duh). As such, he is able to do magic, though he's not that good at it seeing as he doesn't practice all that often. As a warlock, he ages slower than humans, which is why he looks 21 but is really 61. He also throws mad parties.

Other: He's a hunter, but he doesn't take the job all that seriously. Just seriously enough to keep himself alive.

Solomon, realizing his mistake, immediately took off, leaving behind him nothing but the two bodies of what had been hunters not five minutes ago. He shrugged off the feelings of fear, and a little guilt, instead trading them to revel in his near-corporeal smoke form. He didn't physically move when he was like this, but rather willed himself in different directions. Eventually, he chanced upon a rather more busy street, and discreetly landed in a darkened alley. He strolled out, trying to act normal, and keeping a careful eye on his surroundings walked into a dingy-ish diner.

Continuing to keep her eye out for the ever-so-pesky hunters, Saffy began to make her way towards some place she could eat since she was hungry. As she walked down the street, she mulled over what she should do about school. She was going since she figured she had to, since otherwise, she would never make it as a human in the human world, but quite honestly, it was getting harder with all the hunters everywhere. Meh. Anyway, Saffy walked into a small diner, and then went straight ahead to go sit at the counter, on a bar stool.

He doesn't exactly enjoy following the rules but he finds rebellion quite amusing. He is quite irrational and slightly tempermental. He tends to make quick decisions without really thinking wbout them too much. When he wants something he just does it, he doesn't really ever think aout any consequences.

Gender: Female

Looks(No anime): Djana has shoulder length brown hair, and cat like cinnamon coloured eyes. She is 5'6, quite tall for a 14 year old. She usually wears a loose tuck in tank with her high waist black shorts. The tank says "Like A Boss" Or some other wacky phrase. She wears high heeled boots, with laces and the basic "Converse" logo on it. Her skin is slightly tanned but gets crispier in summer. She keeps fit by feeding ducks once a year.

Personality: She is an awkward soul, not normal but not too weird. She can be wired and unable to control her powers. She uses the bathroom break trick to unleash her inner fury at school.

Race:Wiccan

Abilities:Is able to stealthily pickpocket, only getting caught four fifths of the time. Can run fast too. She also likes to blind people with her peircing cat eyes.
