So LadyGagaVEVO just released the official music video for Marry the Night by Lady Gaga. Being an avid fan of Gaga and the song itself, I thoroughly enjoyed and loved this video!
As she had described it herself, it is very auto-biographical, and although there are many surrealistic elements and views to it, the main basis of it is true and had really been apart of her past. c:
Before attempting to watch it, keep the following in mind. The events in this music video supposedly took place before she became famous -think of it as pre-Just Dance- and when she had been dropped by her record company, Def Jam. This will certainly help you in trying to understand the scene where she is situated in her old apartment room.
Overall, this music video is ingenious. I loved the direction, the prelude, and everything following that. It depicts one of the most darkest moments of her life in a lighter way and shows the struggle of her achieving her dreams: To become a star.
Just a quick warning, there is mild nudity within this video. Fortunately for those who are not allowed to watch such things, those particular scenes are censored. Either way, view this video at your own risk.
