If your tamagotchi gets old enough a matchmaker name Mrs. Busybody will come and find a mate for your tamagotchi

By around age 7, if you already haven't had a baby, the match maker will come and show you a possible mate. If you pick "yes" to love, then you will have a baby. If you say "no" she will come back later, or tomorrow, to choose a new possible mate.
