I was wondering if someone could please tell me what the major differences are between the Id L and the Id L 15th anniversary edition. Is one better than the other? Can you get more games on the 15th anniversary one, because I like the games on the original Id L better... Any insight would be great because I'm hoping to get one for xmas!!

Well, obviously you know about the different games.
There are a lot of different characters, and a character chart can be found somewhere in this topic.
Different colors in the shells.
Different items, as seen in Ra's log.
But the downloads for both are the same. You can get them in the iD L downloads topic.
I think that's it. I really love my iD L, so I definately recommend it, but it seems like the 15th aniverssary ver. has a more nostalgic feeling, with vintage/ura characters and all.

Can you get the games that are on the Id L on the Id L 15th anniversary?? I think that jumping one with the obstacles looks fun, very mario-esque

No, the built in games are... well, built in. They're stuck on the iD L, not downloads. Vice-versa, also.

I can kind of see the appeal of the 15th anniversary's games though; they're more challenging than those built in to the iD L and one of the games actually utilizes all 3 buttons. I don't think Bandai has done that before.

Is there an english instruction guide on this forum somewhere? I was reading your log OldSchoolTama and you seem to know what each item will make what character happy, how do you know this? I guess I just want to be able to read about how to play and what the menus mean before i get one! Thanks!

Sure! There are usually translated guides for the Japanese Tamagotchis in the Reference and Tips and Tricks sections. I tend to use the Menu and Stats guide to help me out. After playing for a while, you get used to where everything is. You can find what happy items are for which character HERE.
