So, I'm considering getting a Tamagotchi ID L...But the thing is that it's gonna cost me about 50 bucks..... I'm not sure I want to spend that money on something that I literally nothing about...

So I'm wandering, is it worth it?

Thanks x

Check this topic out, and also this one.

iD L's are really really great, I highly suggest you get one. ^^

$50 is a really good price, I got mine for $100, but it's worth every penny. ;)

Maybe you should check out some logs on it?

It takes AAA's, I think. Or AA's. Whichever is smaller.

If you've played with a regular (English) Tama recently, you shouldn't have too hard of a time figuring it out. I think Binary did menu translations on that second website, too, but a lot of people just figure it out through trial and error.

I hope so, I'm so tempted, I even went and put the money in the bank today....I was looking into the ID L anniversery one but it's kinda like... way more money and I am a uni student so I'm kinda like aaaagh tamagotchi or food XD.

Soooo tempted. I really want one.... Gah, why do they not bring them out in english or to the UK....?

Well, from someone about to put her foot in her mouth.... Both. Eventually get both.

Get the IDL first. Many of the items are buyable and are still happy items (Grown, I think...) on the 15th Anniversary. I'm on Generation 42 or something like that. I haven't put it down. I love it so much. It VERY fresh to the people who haven't had a color tamagotchi yet.

The only real down side is when they start randomly saying something to you (or another character) and you can't read it...

Meanwhile, I love the characters a bit more from the 15th Anniversary version. I love when you connect between two tama colors... The game is cute, friendship levels - when they go up, they both let you know, Random gifts..... (In some cases, very random) I've basically bought/grown all the items on my IDL and sent them to my 15th Anniversary version. ...

Ya, Actually one of the good sellers to buy from. I got something from them around C-mas and it got here in 5 days with normal Airmail... I've bought from them a few times. They might give you a tracking number if you ask. Sometimes they do for me.... Other times they don't.

oh, if you haven't done tons of research on it I do not suggest you get it right away.... it costs more than just 50 dollars, most are from 70-100 dollars, so until you do tons more research.... don't.

Sheesh how much do you order from them then :p

And I have done some research on them, I've had tamagotchis since I was about 6 so I think I will probably get the gist...Hopefully <3

From my experience, I've never had to pay customs on any of the Tamas I've ordered online via eBay, HLJ, CDJapan, etc. This is not to say it can't or won't happen, but chances are, and I think most members can agree on this, is that you won't end up paying any duty fees :) This is an exciting time for you!

i think you should get the iD L, it's totally worth it. i would get one with free shipping (as my parents did for mine) so you don't end up paying more than you bargained for.

for me, it really bugs me when characters "talk" with my tama because it's in japanese <_< but you get used to it eventually.

ZuZu is right. i think you should do some research on the menu screens and items and stuff. knowing the names of the items helps with happy symbols.

this topic and this topic should help.

good luck and hope you enjoy your (future) iD L!

@ Blue I can read a little japanese so I start to read it slowly and then it goes to the next part and I go AGU! I only got half of what they said.... T-T but it really is worth it if you're really a tama person.

I'm buying a 15th Anniversary iD L for 63 dollars and I can't wait! I can read some Japanese, including the characters' names and basic nouns, so it should be lots of fun. Contragulations on buying an iD L!

I got that same yellow one you were thinking of buying, from the same seller and everything. It ships fast, the guy already sent an email :) I cant wait for it to come!

ahah it looks like you bought the same one right after I did (because after I bought it it said 3 in stock, now it says 2) haha well good luck to both of us I guess :) :)
