I currently have a Tamagotchi Tamatown Tama-Go. I love it, but I wish it had a backlit color lcd screen. That's it, no other features, and definitely stay in English. Is there any product that would satisfy that wish, or at least come close?

Reason I want a backlit screen is because I have trouble seeing the screen of my tama-go. No matter what (gamma?) I set it to, it always seems to be too dark. And the reason I want it to be in color is because the tamagotchi characters are very pretty; the black and white pixels just don't do them justice.

Hey there!

I'm not sure if you know about these or not, but there are Japanese Tamagotchis that come fully in color including a bright screen!

There's a few different versions, the first being Tamagotchi+Color, then the Tamagotchi iD, then iD L, and now there are different types of iD L's like the 15th Anniversary Version.

I doubt Bandai will be making a tamagotchi in english with colour since not a lot of people would buy them here in the U.S, but I highly recommend the japanese versions I listed!

I know you only want english versions, the japanese versions are very easy to understand and I have no troubles with my iD L and +Color.

I know about those versions, and will get one of them if I have to (dunno which one is most like the tama-go, thinking the plus color one is due to the number of features people hint at on the iD L's, but not sure), but the reason I'd prefer and almost require one in english isn't because of the version, it's because of the language - Girl 1yr 11lb gen. 1g hungry happy train friendship character Belltchi points user name Keleois meal snack game shop park pc date place game time out praise tama-go others friends memory... every time I go to do something with my tama-go, I always read the words that come up on the screen getting there first, and how am I to do that if it isn't in english? That's the only reason I need an english version with a lit screen and color.

I think you would really like the IDL tamagotchi Color. I would say its probably closest to the tama-go with more features.

I really enjoy mine.

You might be able to put a backlit LED on the outside of the Tama-Go (or on the inside, if you open it up), but I have no idea how. As for the color LCD thing, I don't think that's possible at all.

Thank you for your input. I have a friend who might be able to do that.
