Welcome to Ridgewood High School! It's a good sized public school in a small suburban town. Here, alongside the regular choir classes and bands, there exists another music related club that combines instruments with singing at the school- The Pop Music Club. Basically, you could say this is equivalent to a Glee club, only not quite as dramatic and super talent loaded.

Rules of the club:

  • You have to play an instrument, either any kind of guitar (electric, bass...), drums, electric keyboard.. Basically, any instrument you see being used by your favorite pop or rock band.
  • Be willing to sing solos because there aren't too many people in the club. It's in danger of being removed as a club since barely anyone is in the club since people are so lazy.
  • Be willing to expand your horizons on instrument playing, as well.
  • As with all other extracurricular activities, good grades are a must. You must at least maintain over a 2.0 GPA to participate in the club.
  • There's singer songwriter things involved alongside the singing of already existing pop songs.

Basically, the plot will revolve around after school activities (Which means we'll be doing LOTS of timeskips of school days), and will occasionally have non-school activities too since those are fun, in example, school lock-ins, summer/weekend trips, and other fun stuff.

So, grab your guitar, and then get ready to roll!

RULES:

This will be somewhat literate, meaning you must at least type 4 sentences a post. Example post:

John picked up his guitar, and then sat down on his stool. "Hey, guys, we're going through that one song we decided on.. Uh, I think it was *blank*!" Without waiting for an answer, he began to start doing the scale to warm up.
Please use good grammar and punctuation.

This is a real life RP. No powers or anything.

Your character must not be like super duper talented. Try to give them faults, maybe they have trouble with playing some chords or parts of songs, maybe they have little confidence in their singing, something like that.

Put effort into your form. Absolutely no Mary Sues, Kawaiis, or Stus allowed. I will be accepting forms.

Only up to two people an instrument.

That's about it.

FORM:

Name:

Age:

Gender:

Personality:

Looks:

Grade:

Instrument (How good are they?):

Singing Ability(Mention whether they are soprano, alto, baritone, etc):

Other (Grades, other activities, etc. etc):

MY FORM:

Name: Patrick Walter (Blargh fail name)

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Personality: Patrick is a joke cracking, very happy person who lives life without ever looking to the negative side. He's always positive, and the only times he sounds negative is when he's either on the brink of not being able to participate in the club thanks to his abysmal grades, or when something particularly bad is going on. He's very mellow, and easy going, making him difficult to anger. Unfortunately, he's so easy going and happy to the point of laziness, which explains his horrible grades. It doesn't help the only thing he does is play guitar, rather than study up for exams. The only reason he isn't completely failing is because he is taking regular guitar class during the school day, and since guitar is the only thing he's good at, he obviously ends up passing guitar with an A. Otherwise, he just fails at school in general. Also, don't get mad if his jokes offend you. He can speak without thinking quite a bit.

Looks: Patrick has short, blond hair, sometimes spiked up slightly with gel (Not anime hairish though, since that would be odd), and light hazel eyes. He is about medium height and medium weight, with little muscle because he doesn't really work out. When it comes to fashion, Patrick simply just sticks with regular male fashions, jeans, t-shirts, hoodies, that kinda stuff. He always wears either Converse sneakers or some pair of Nikes he picked up.

Grade: Sophomore

Instrument (How good are they?): Plays electric guitar. Pretty good for the most part, but some chords he fails at.

Singing Ability: He never sings, ever. If anyone asks him to sing, he'll just turn all red and refuse right away. Rumor has it he's an okay singer, but then that's just a rumor. He's an alto.

Other (Grades, other activities, etc. etc): Can drive. His grades.. Err... He makes it by with a 2.5. Doesn't help he sleeps in class so much..

We can start after we get a couple more peoplez. We'll start at the beginning of the school day, on the first day of school, I guess.

Is this remake? I swear I recognize this from somewhere lol! Like a long time ago . . .

Lol bringing Jessica back.

Name: Jessica Burton, also known as Jess.

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Personality: Jessica's a very sullen and moody girl, quick to reject all offers of conversation and social interaction. If you attempt to talk to her, she'll oat glare at you until you leave, maybe raise an eyebrow in disapproval if you're persistant. This isn't because she's antisocial - Jess just has a fear of being rejected. She has strange logic, yes, but she believes that if she has no chance of being accepted in a group, there is definitly no chance of her being rejected. Jess only joined this club on the grounds that hardly anyone is there, she needed a decent place to use her music skills, and to shut her parents up - she loathes being told what to do, but going along with her parent's wishes of her becoming involved with people was the only way to go.

Looks:Jessica's face - which often has a scowl on it - is framed by hair in a bob style. Her hair was orginally blonde, but she dyed it bright red half a year or so ago and it's remained that way ever since. Jess' eyes are a sharp green colour, contrasting with her hair and making both stand out even more. Jessica is rather tall for her age and doesn't like it, so she sticks mostly to trainers and other flat shoes. For the rest of her clothing style, Jessica HAS been known to wear a dress or a skirt, but she mostly sticks to band t-shirts coupled with dark jeans, and occasionally adds a hooded top.

Grade: ...Sophomore?

Instrument (How good are they?): Drums. Due to the fact it's the only productive thing she's really done with her life, Jessica is very good. However, she tends to get frustrated, and this can affect her performance.

Singing Ability(Mention whether they are soprano, alto, baritone, etc): Jessica is an alto, but she's a TERRIBLE singer. She avoids it as much as possible.

Other: Jessica is just managing to scrape through her classes, barely managing the average grade. She knows she's not the brightest, and has basically condemned school. The only thing she puts at least some effort into is her music.

(Awesomesauce~ Are we waiting for more people? Also, you should get back to Radi on the other forum xD)

I'll make a boy later. c:

Name: Cinder Marie Torelli

Age: Fifteen

Gender: Female

Personality: Cinder believes in what others don't. She's that little girl who believed all those fantasy spun stories about fairies and magic, stories told to the young children to lift their spirits. She's very optimistic, and always finds something good in something or someone - even when there's not a speck of good seen to anyone else. Even though Cinder is optimistic and believes in fantasies, she's not one to trust easily. She's a closed book, and she doesn't enjoy opening up. While children would go outside and play or work with their families, Cinder preferred to be up in her room, reading books written by her ancestors about the magics of the world. Cinder is also very keen; inquisitive, you might say. She's able to observe something once and remember all the details later. She takes notice on her surroundings at all times, which is why she prefers to be up high. In the trees, surveying people and watching what's happening. On the ground Cinder feels vulnerable, open to being hurt or attacked. So she's stay high up, running along roofs and bouncing across the trees.

Looks: Cinder has a very fair, pale skin tone, and yet she has dark brown eyes to knock everything off. She's very small, standing at about four-nine, not even five foot. She has dirty blonde hair, with dark tones. Her genetics puzzle people, blonde hair, brown eyes, pale skin - but she is never bothered. She's very slim and small, and at first glance - almost has a doll-like appearance to her. Fragile. She has long legs, so she excels in running and is faster than most. She can run a good distance, but she wears out after a while. Her hands are small, like the rest of her features, and her nails are trimmed evenly. Cinder's hair tends to stay soft, however, after a bit of days without bathing, it'll become oily, and her head will get itchy. She also has some freckles, delicately dancing across the bridge of her nose and fading upon reaching her cheeks and they're a shade darker than her skintone, so they're only faintly visible - but become more apparent when she's been in sunlight for a while.

Grade: Freshmen

Instrument (How good are they?): Cinder plays the piano and the electric piano / keyboard. She just started last year so she's not too great, however she can pick up a beat from a song and usually learn all the chords in a week or two.

Singing Ability(Mention whether they are soprano, alto, baritone, etc): Soprano. Cinder loves to sing, however she often finds herself getting flustered when it comes to singing in front of a crowd. So in other words, no one knows she sings.

Other (Grades, other activities, etc. etc): Cinder passes with A's and B's, however she often struggles with Math - barely making it through with a C-. Cinder also participates in Track and Cross Country as a long distance runner. She practices her piano (electric and regular) on Tuesday and Thursday.

FORM:

Name: Makayla Robilika

Age: 17

Gender: Girl

Personality: Makayla is very shy. She only talkes to her friends and teachers. Barley anyone else. If your some random guy at school and talk to her she will walk away. Many people think she is wierd because of this. She likes to always sing at home where no one can see or hear her. She humms tunes at class too. She is very hard working and gets upset if she gets a bad grade. She is also very sweet if you are her friend, but because she works so hard in school she almost has no time to practice her instument. She is also a cluz. She falls more times than the average person.

Looks: Makayla had blond hair with streaks of brown mixed in. Her hair is also very long extending till her waist. She is average for her height maybe a tad shorter. She also loves wearing braclets and has many to chose from. Her usuall favorites are ones with swirls of purple and light green. Sometimes she also puts highlights in her hair mostly blue and pink. Her eyes are solid green with brisks of gray.

Grade= Sophomore

Instrument (How good are they?): She loves to play the oboe, but she is not very good at it. She knows oboe is a hard instrument and she wants to be good at it. This frustrates her a lot. She is pretty good at keyboard and plays all the time.

Singing Ability(Mention whether they are soprano, alto, baritone, etc): She is a soprano and has a very high voice. But sometimes when she goes to high she just can not get the pitch right.

Other (Grades, other activities, etc. etc): Her grades are mostly A's,but she always gets a bad grade in science. She always either is not paying attention or does not really care about sciece. She practices to piano on Tuesday and Thursday too. She loves to play soccer and tennis.

(Haley, you are accepted, but tamalover, you need to go back and fix your spelling mistakes before I can accept you. Also, I would like to see more in the looks section of your form.)

(Okay, starting~)

Patrick parked his Chevy pickup in the parking lot of Ridgewood High School, about half an hour before school began for the year. He reached for his backpack and guitar case which he had shoved in the passenger seat, and then he got out of the pickup, heading for the building. If there was one thing he was proud of besides his guitar playing ability, it was his Chevy, which he had only recently begun to drive around freely, after having gotten his license during the summer. Pushing past some freshmen, Patrick made his way into the building, and then he began to head towards the band room. Once in there, he then headed to a practice room in the back, which just happened to be the place the Pop Music Club got to rehearse and do just about everything in.

Cinder had arrived at school early in an attempt to get some one on one tutoring from her math teacher. If she got a D for the semester she might have to repeat the class, seeing as how she had a D last semester as her final grade. However, now seated behind the piano she was carefully playing the chords that were from Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You". It wasn't exactly the type of music that the Pop Music Club would expect her to play regularly, but she still found time to play songs that weren't exactly related to their style / genre. Her eyes were shut as she hummed along to the song, allowing her fingers to play the notes. Suddenly, someone walked in and her hands pressed down on the keys, ruining the song. She looked up and saw Patrick, giving him a slight wave, "Oh, hey." Cinder greeted, her eyes moving back down to the piano keys.

Name: Tyson Maris

Age: 15

Gender: Male

Personality: Tyson is just a bolt of energy and excitement. He is decent at guitar, and a pretty good singer, but he shines at preforming. He brings excitement and energy to the stage when he preforms. He loves rock, mainly 80's and 90's rock, but also some of the newer stuff. Tyson believes the newer music like techno, dubstep, and rap aren't real music, and gets very annoyed when he hears the popular kids talking about them. He's a rebel, he never listens to his teachers, peers, and talents and does whatever he wants, which hurts him and the other club members because he is often late to practice because of detention.

Looks: Tyson stands around 5'7 or 5'8, pretty average height for his age. He's a little on the chubby side, weighing in at about 165 pounds, but it doesn't show that much. He has hazel eyes, and short black hair that he spikes up with hair gel and that kind of stuff. As for wardrobe, he wears jeans, graphic t-shirts that are either funny or nostalgic, and either a jean-jacket or a leather jacket, depending on the shirt he's wearing. He has a piercing on his left ear, and also has a necklace that resembles a throwing star that he'll sometimes wear. For sneakers, he likes his custom Converse that matches his guitar color wise.

Grade: 9th/Freshman

Instrument: Acoustic and Electric guitar, but he's not very good at them, very average at it, as his strong suit is singing.

Singing Ability: Baritone, although he can hit high notes very well and is a pretty good singer, much better than his guitar playing skills.

Other: Tyson gets decent grades in Spanish, English, and Science; has good grades in math (Mid-90's), and his in honors History.

FORM:

Name: Scandiaca Tyto (I know I made the name up entirely out of scientific owl names)

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Personality: Loves to play her intrument funny, bubbly isn't afraid to sing a solo. Can be quiet and a bit of a bookworm though

Looks: long brown hair with green eyes, jeans + tee

Grade: umm... Sophomore? since thats what other peeps are saying

Instrument (How good are they?): has been playing since yr 3 so about 8 yrs Hates reading music and playing by ear like her parents do. Prefers to memorise music, so can be slow at playing a new piece straight away

Singing Ability(Mention whether they are soprano, alto, baritone, etc): alto.. ): she has a lower voice but not by much

Other (Grades, other activities, etc. etc): Hates maths but is good at it, Is good at writing and making up stories, but hates the part where you wrie it down, bad at sport, ok at art. A fast reader

(@Jared: Accepted. @Caomi: Sorry, have to reject you for now, you forgot to capitalize quite a few things, have some grammar mistakes, and then you lack content in the personality and looks sections of your form. Go back and fix it and I'll accept you.)

The expression on Jessica's face remained the same as she got out of her car - which she lovingly called junk on wheels - drumming a small tune on top of it as she grabbed her stuff and walked off. She remained staring straight ahead, ignoring anyone who glanced or scowled or god forbid smiled at her, until she reached the back room. Kicking the door open due to the fact that her hands were now occupied by her drumsticks, Jessica gave the others a quick nod before moving over to her drum kit which was left there, all without saying a word.

Patrick held up his hand in greeting to Cinder, and just as he was removing his white and black guitar from its case, he jumped as Jessica came in. Once he finished getting his guitar out of the case, he then looked up at the others. "Err.." This was slightly awkward, since he was the only guy in the room. This made him slightly uncomfortable. "Hey guys. What's up?"

Tyson, in detention as usual, laid his head on his desk and waited to be excused. He yawned and closed his eyes, he was used to this by now and it was just tiresome. As he was excused, Tyson jumped up and ran to the club, knowing he was late. Bursting through the doors, he looked at the others, relieved at how they had not started yet. "Sorry I'm late." he said while walking over to his guitar, taking it out of his case and plugging it into the amp.

Patrick was cut short when Tyson walked in. "Oh hey man. Where the *(@(&*# were you? You're soooo late!" He his his best impression of a prep on the last part. "Just kidding, you're actually on time for once. How was detention?"

"*&%^, like all the others. But you gut used to it." Tyson said with a shrug, tuning his guitar. "What song are we doing today?" he asked, turning the amp up and playing a few chords to make sure it was tuned.

Patrick shrugged. "Idk." He didn't really care about the fact he had just said "Idk", which would get him shot by his Language Arts teacher. "Well, what do you wanna do? We gonna do pop, rock, or what? Personally, some Linkin Park would be cool to do,but that's what I think."
