Well, I looked in a shop called GameTraders which not only sells games but other electronic stuff and what did I see? A Furby of the Gizmo critter from Gremlins! It was $45!!! I mean, I know they released them years ago but why would they sell it again after all this time? There was only one and it's pretty expensive... I wonder where it came from?

Could've come from anywhere.
Might've come from a private seller, and the owner bought it to resell.
Where it came from isn't that shocking - but the price they're trying to sell it for is. XD That's waaaay overpriced.

Maybe it's because it is considered a "collectable" item now? That's probably why there was only one on display.
If it was a Furby Gizmo that was in "mint" condition still in the box? I've seen some for sale around US$40 on ebay.
You can get others that are used or without packaging for a lot less too
