But there was still hope for Tama Planet. The two planets were having a sushi contest this time, spitting out tons of different sushi. Kuchipatchi dived in and started gobbling sushi, but was soon pushed out by Koochoopootchoo, who wanted a share of the sushi. The two food-crazy Tamas fought over their thing, as did all the Tama and Toma characters.
Then suddenly, they heard a voice. It seemed to be speaking out of the night sky, rolling down on the two planets very gently, but it still rocked them from side to side. They stopped being furious at each other and looked up. The fountains of sushi dropped away, as the planets and even Sunnitchi stared up into the sky. There was nothing there except a pulsating area in the fabric of the Universe where the voice somehow carried through space. It said:
"I come in peace...I am wary from my trip from Earth...there will be an attack...attack...attack..."
The voice was fading as it struggled to speak. It was obviously ill - very ill, and tired.
"Horrible creatures...they look after us by pressing buttons on a toy...that is our life support...it keeps us alive...the creature who had me was irresponsible...I left on a quest of my own, to find freedom and happiness..."
The voice was very weak and faint now. Mametchi had the bravery to cry out,
"Who are you, strange voice from the sky? Are you one of us?"
The voice was dying now, lost in space. It was clearly having great trouble speaking.
"Who are you...I am Tamagotchi...I come in peace...I am Tamagotchi...Tamagotchi...I come in peace...Tamagotchi...Tamagotchi...Tamagotchi..."
The battle did not resume. Everyone was staring into space where the voice had died. They felt an odd feeling in their hearts. A Tamagotchi, one of their own kind, had died. This beloved citizen of Tamagotchi world had died, having given them the barest information that it came in peace, there was going to be an attack, and that Earth creatures were horrible to it. Still, if there was going to be an attack worth the death of a Tamagotchi to tell them, they needed to do the unthinkable.
Tamagotchi and Tomagotchee needed to unite.
