Like what do they do because ive seen them but I dont know if I should waste my GP on them or not?

 
I wouldn't. You buy the shop and then when you play with it, your Tama runs the shop for a bit. Sometimes customers come in but lots of times they don't; If one comes in, then they buy something and you get some Gotchi Points.
