Hello everyone,

New member, first post here. I've recently inherited a tamagotchi from my boyfriend, but I can't figure out which version it is. I can't even find the discipline icon. I've attached an image below, can anyone help to identify and give some advise?

Based on the shell shape and pattern, it could be a Connection V1, Connection V2, or Japanese Tamagotchi Plus.

The easiest way to tell these models apart is to activate the games menu. Each model has different games.

The mini games are:
1) some sort of juggling game
2) a football goal scoring kind of game.

I'm starting to worry that what I have is not a real tamagotchi? I am unable to discipline/praise it as well.. Oh dear!

The shell is taken from the V1/V2/Plus, but it's a bootleg. The sprite gives it away.

It's a fake the pixels are too big and the design is all wrong it isn't made by tamagotchi tm.
They are getting really good at making fakes nowadays, Its really scary.

its not a real tamagotchi. the pixels are much larger than a real tamagotchi.

It's fake, the pixels are way too big. That shell is from the Japanese Tamagotchi Plus. Considering the chain looks a little rusty and there's no hoop to keep the chain on, yep, it's a fake.

ok, it has the shape of a V1/V2/Japenese Tamagotchi plus, and the Background on it is the same of a V2 tama (which my v2 has the background)
but the issue is, the pixels are WAY too big, and the character is no tamagotchi character that Bandai has made.

sorry to say this but, just like the others have said: you have a Fake Tamagotchi.
