how is the ID L?

my boyfriend finally gave in and is most likely ordering me an id l next friday with his big paycheck.

i just have a few questions about them.

1. how long does the batery last with the color screen vs and tamago?
   
2. can you go online with it like the tamago and previous models?
   
3. do you need more than basic japan knowledge?
   
4. how is it compared to other tamagotchis?
   

please let me kknow so i know what to expect.

Well my batteries normally last a month to a month in a half... (With connecting)

Last I knew... No you cannot go online with it. You can add things to it via download. (Wallpaper, Items, Food...Games )

I know slim to no Japanese. I cannot read the text but if you have ran a tamagotchi before... It shouldn't be much of an issue.

Many people enjoy the color tamas. They are pretty neat, they have many different things inside.

Things to know, as many people didn't know.

You need to clean the rooms (Items at the Depa)

You need to remember to clean your tama or it can cause unhappiness/sickness...

You don't really need to know how to read Japanese.

The Tama- IDL Colors are pretty straight forward.

That's what I can think of as of now...

I prefer the IDL over the 15th Anniversary version... (IDL is easier, 15th is more of a challenge) Both however have great characters.

I also have an iD L on the way, and even though I couldn't answer all of your questions (yet), allow me to tell you that everything in iD L is in Japanese. And comparing it to my V6, it has more features and places to visit.

Just to add on to what the others are saying, the iD L is in Japanese but once you get used to the interface while referencing topics like the Menu and Stats topic, you'll become familiar with how it all works. You don't really need any knowledge of the Japanese language at all to enjoy Japanese Tamagotchis. If you get the chance, I'd also recommend reading up on logs to see what it's like. Most of the regular loggers are currently logging some form of iD L these days.
