V2 Missing Pixels! Help!

'K so around the beginning of this month (I think) my V2 tama died and I left it sitting there doing nothing until a hatch today. The thing is, during that idle period, for some unknown reason, a whole bunch of rows of pixels went missing. Is there any way to get the missing pixels back? Does anyone know what I can do?

The screws that hold your Tamagotchi together are probably not tight enough. Make sure you tighten all screws (but don't break the circut board!).

This is because you need pressure on the LCD screen to be able to

view all the pixels. I did this to my brother's tama and it worked. If that doesn't work

you could carefully clean the inside of it a little.

Ohh... My Version 4 lost some pixels just before it stopped working altogether. But don't worry, I'm sure your Version 2 won't completely break. Do you have any idea why this happened? Perhaps it got a little wet. I think my V4 got wet when that happened. If so, you can take it apart and stick it in rice.

That's what happened to me. If tightening the screws in the tama doesn't work, you need to replace the whole screen. My topic is down a little bit on the What happened to my Tamagotchi? topics page, and it's called What Happened to my Tamagotchi's Screen? I know our tamas are different versions, but the v1-v4.5 all have the same exact screen, so you could use the screen from any of those versions to replace yours. And there's a guide in the topic, which explains how to replace the screen, and it's super easy to understand. One good thing about having to change the screen on a tama, you can change the background at the same time! Hope your tama starts working soon!

I would open it up and spray some compressed air on it maybe it is just an issue where the screen is not in position. I know when my music star's screen is not in position what happens a whole bunch of the pixels go wrong. I would seriously open it up spray some compressed air on it(If you don't have that just blow air on it I guess but compressed air works best) and move the screen. If that doesn't work I don't know what to tell you. (Maybe you could wipe it off with a cloth while your in there. BTW When using Compressed air on a motherboard I heard that you need if to not be close to the motherboard and at the right angle, Otherwise the chemicals inside there could damage or corrode the motherboard(I think that big green chip is the motherboard)... which is never good. I really hope these help fix your v2. (To find the best way to hold your can of compressed air read the container thoroughly) It also might have to do with the fact that v2's are pretty pretty old, or at least not new, and maybe it is corroding due to time. I seriously hope you fix it.

Edit: I strongly agree with MusicalAngelgotchiOfLove's suggestion as hers/his is less invasive try hers first before mine.

Resetting might do the trick - but I also think tightening the screws will help it too.

My Tama Go also has this problem. I think it happened because it got too cold overnight. I went to bed, checked it before I went to sleep, screen was all fine and in the morning I got a huge shock. A strip of pixels were dead! This happened a while ago and I still haven't been able to fix it but it hasn't ruined the actual game play and so I have just had to ignore it.

I've tried all of the suggestions except for the compressed air. idk I'm just a bit afraid to open it up, I don't want to break it, and my V4 almost broke by me opening it up and stuff...

No I didn't. I already said the V2 character died so I left it for a hatch, but during the idle period, the rows of pixels went missing. That's it
