alright. i have no idea whether or not this is the appropriate forum area to say this, but really, it needs to be said. (if any admins want to move this somewhere else please feel free to! and if this is a bit silly yes feel free to delete or lock it UuU!!)

so basically we've all kind of seen the people here -

there are the

- tama fans ( you guys who stay within the tama forum areas, log about your tamas, take pictures, status update with "my mametchi just had a baby!" or something similar )

- hetalia fans ( you guys really like hetalia and it's a huge topic in tamachat 45% of the time, you also make quite a large amount of tamatalk user-wise )

- half-halfs ( you guys talk about tamas but travel around the forums more, sometimes logging and role-playing or hanging out in non-tamatalk )

- others ( you guys talk about anything that's not tama-related, usually they're roleplayers or avid writers/drawers, and stop playing with tamas a while ago or never did )

and it seems recently there have been a few fights among the four groups! :c

let me get this straight: we're human. it's not our fault we have freedom to think differently. it's not our fault we have opinions. it's not our fault we like things you don't! ;o

and i'm sorry you guys are upset by this, but.. this is kind of silly!! :0

so loves, i think this down here is the right thing to do, you don't have to follow this exactly, i just think i'd be a good thing to keep in mind.

if you are a tama fan? i'd recommend staying within the tamatalk tamagotchi forum, it's probably the place right for you! but please please pleeeease don't tell us non-tama playing people to pick up a tama and tell us off when we actually have never played a tamagotchi. but if you really are disrupted and want a better place for your log or something, why not head on over to tama-zone for more tama-related stuff? there is a LOT more tama stuff there and i think maybe keep your fun stuff and logs here and post more serious tama-related stuff there. ( I AM NOT FORCING YOU TO, YOU GUYS, I'M JUST RECOMMENDING ITTTTTTT :V )

if you are a hetalia fan? i'm perfectly fine with you guys here and i don`t see anything wrong with hetalia, but it's not really the kind of thing i like. please don't annoy the tama fans too much though, i think they just need a bit of space. there actually isn't as much tama stuff here as you think!

if you are a half-half? i appreciate that you are not extremely obsessed with tamas and you're not telling non-tama playing people to immediately pick up a tama and start playing. but be careful of being to drawn to one side than another; some people you know might not appreciate it (trust me, i've experienced this first-hand)

if you are an other: hey! welcome to my side of tamatalk, haha. usually i just kind of hang out in non-tama areas but sometimes pick up a tama and get obsessed again, haha. i guess you can take from what i do if you want? but you don't have to, don't worry UuU!

so yes! sorry if this is a bit rushed but i needed to do this quick.

(tl;dr) please pleeeeaaase respect everyone else even if they are very different from you and honestly i hope this is all gonna work out okay for everybody c;!!

I think it would be better if Tama fans, Hetalians, and others could just coexist without fighting.

yeah.. but i have seen more than a few fights on tamachat (unfortunately.) and gosh the trolls on status updates are kinda getting out of hand. :c

i agree completely! though I don't think you should ask people to move over to tamazone. D: most people have all of their friends here and tama fans are always welcomed here! we are called tamatalk so Im not sure why youre telling them to go over to tamazone. sure they might be annoyed by the non tamatalk stuff but i dont really wanna turn away possible members by says "oh tamazone is open right over here for you!" x3

great post though~ c: i also think though that the amount of hetalia overload does get annoying sometimes, though its a great show! please just dont ruin the fandom for people who are fans but dont go so overboard that you become annoying. :C which means making like 4 hetalia side accounts is quite annoying D:

oh gosh you are totally right :c i'll alter that part in the main topic a tad (i was making it pretty quickly UoU)

During my time on TamaTalk I have never witnessed any fights or disputes between these "groups". Had you not pointed out that groups/cliques actually exist on TamaTalk, I may have never noticed! I think we all co-exist fine. Users stay in the same sections to further discuss their interests, and I rarely see members going out of their way to insult another people because they contribute to another part of the forum.

Pretty much that. And I wouldn't say that there are "groups" of members - a member is a member, and I do not really agree with "grouping" (it just seems slightly stereotypical).

Not sure what fights you're talking about, but they would be unrelated to there being different "groups"; that is, they are usually just personal disagreements that have nothing to do with if they're a Tama-fan, Hetalia-fan, or anything-fan for that matter.

I agree with joshnemo in that there aren't really any actual "groups/cliques". For example, what group do I go into? Tama-fans? Hetalia-fans? Half-halfs? Other? I'm like all of those, because members on here don't fit into groups like that.

Well, it would be great if we could all just talk together like good friends without getting into fights just because of our varied interests. I admit I used to get irritated of all the non-Tama fans, but now I realise that the diversity among members makes TamaTalk a fun and unique community. I am definitely a Tama-fan who prefers to talk about Tamagotchis, but I have no trouble chatting about other stuff like Hetalia (which I don't even watch :p ) as long as I'm enjoying myself with my friends. We aren't really divided into groups. We can love both Tamagotchi and Hetalia, and lots of other things too. The more friends, the more fun, no matter what they are in to.

I also disagree with moving to Tama-Zone - isn't that a little unfair for TamaTalk posting a link to a lesser site and telling people to spend more time on that site instead? There are already members posting status updates saying they're leaving TamaTalk and heading for Tama-Zone! I have a Tama-Zone account, but that site is lame and definitely doesn't compare to our vibrant, fun community. Plus I have friends here who are not old enough to join TZ.

TamaTalk is the perfect community for Tama-Fans - and everyone else as well, as long as we make an effort to get along. :)

thanks emf, that's a really great thing to say! i was just implying for maybe the people who really love tamas to maybe make an account on tama-zone to post more things related to tamas or make secondary logs there, because it just seems like a more appropriate. i wouldn't say tama-zone isn't as good as tamatalk or is worse, but i would say they have less activity there, that's all. i'm not trying to force anyone into going there, just mentioning it in case.

and i know it sounds pretty rude of me for saying things like 'there are four groups on tt' and now that i look back on this, i was kind of half-asleep and trying to get it out before i went to bed, because it was on my mind, haha. and tamatalk is just a great place!

i was just hoping for tamafans to be a teeny less demanding towards us who don't play tamas, and for other people to just not pound on tamafans as much. everyone should feel comfortable here, and honestly, i'm not just saying that. c;

Sorry, it was only meant to be a joke... -_-

Setting aside my offensive status update (which I honestly do regret now), I don't really stir up fights anymore because I'm an in-between person. I can make jokes that go over the top, though, like hating on Hetalia a little to much, and that's probably what's causing the fighting. My advice is just to ignore offensive jokes, the few people who make them will soon learn to stop, like I did.

I also think there is a problem with:

  • Non Tama-fans posting in the Tama section and sort of stirring up fights without realising it (this is quite rare, but it only takes something small to start a whole chain of fights)
  • Tama-fans posting Tama stuff in the Non-Tama sections. This doesn't really cause fights but it might spur on an argument.
  • Muddles on Chat. I haven't been on Chat in over a year so I don't know what it's like nowadays, but from the number of people leaving and making statuses about it I can assume it's not good. I think it's hard for Tama people/Hetalians/in-betweens/others to have their separate conversations in one chat room. All I can suggest is that people somehow work out a way of having one conversation, veering from Hetalia to Tamas and back, or incorporating both. Either that or if there are only two of one group they use a private chat.

I think really most Hetalia fans like Tamas a bit too, and vice versa, there are just fights because most people seem to like one over the other.
