i have the american p1. i also have the p1 guide book called i love my tamagotchi by bronwen. in this book is says that the oyajitchi was scrapped on the american p1 and replaced by the ketotchi (bill) . oyajitchi was only available on the japanese p1. see all this is to confusing as everyone online claims that the bill character is the same as the oyajitchi but this book claims that the bill character is only on the american p1 and the oyajitchi is only on the japanese p1. i have seen the oyajitchi on a p1 before and the bill character on a p1 before so what the book claims seems to be true but can someone please confirm this for me and why so many website say that the bill character and the oyajitchi.

Yes this is true, if you have the American P1 you will get Bill as a secret character. There is no Oyajitchi on those.
And ofc the Japanese P1 doesn't have Bill.
