My sister has a V2 and when we put a new battery in it, it shows the egg screen as it normally does, but, no matter which button we press it will not show the download/reset screen or let us set the time.
We tried reset button, B button (which worked on my V2), A+C... but none worked.

Please help.

You will need to set the date and time first before your egg hatches. Press your B button while on the egg screen.

I have my own V2 and it works perfectly.
But my sister´s one won´t do show the settings screen.
I already said that.

Maybe the B button on your sister's V2 is somewhat non-responsive... you can try pressing the button harder.

Maybe you need to clean the inside of the Tama. I wrote a guide about a few months ago, It shows you how to open up a Tamagotchi. Under the rubber buttons, try cleaning there.
