Generally, toys and hobby products usually carry no charge if purchased in small quantities.

Oh, I get it - probably because the people checking the packages think that you aren't getting any money for it, so they can't really object that you're getting money and they're not...

I know for the us it goes by how much you paid for the product and of its personal use or for selling. That and ie noticed if they send food with it gets held for a bit.

I've NEVER once had to pay an import or a tax when buying from other country's. I've gotten things as big as a laptop as well.

Normally nothing, but for my IDL i had to pay 30$ extra because they lost the package and had to find it :/
