This is based on two lines I wrote about a year ago...they turned out to be true.

Life is just a wheel spinning round,

Bringing happiness and sadness all around.

It's weird how the tables turn,

It's weird how you always yearn,

For what you had a year before

But gave away without a thought.

With every failure comes a feeling of success,

I surely can be good, even if not the best.

After all, I'm one of the smallest in this giant world.

I can never tell them what I know - I can only be told.

I wait till I grow older - that's all there is to do,

I wait till I gain friendship - whether with them or you.

What made me happier before,

Now it makes me sadder more.

I should have known this wouldn't last,

I should have known that life runs fast.

Life will outrun me, I always lose the race.

You will outrun me, not like I have a choice.

This poem is a failure, but somehow it succeeded.

And hopefully, somehow, a new success has seeded.

You actually like it? I thought this was one of my worst failures...if everyone likes these things so much, I should start entering writing like this in competitions, rather than stuff with no separate verses or rhyming.
