I am looking for any and all info on the Limited Edition Puma Yashuhiro Mihara tamagotchi. It is black in color. I cannot find anything on this one. Thanks in advance!

Thanks but those aren't the one I'm referring to. It's black with neon writimg. I'll post a pic when I get home from work.

Well, I found a video of the opening and the egg:

My understand is that only the above (opening and egg) is different from a regular tama but I'm not entirely sure. I'll keep looking more. They are quite rare, Mothra might have more info.

Forget "pretty rare"...

I think that's the first pic I have ever seen of the special black editon you mention - and I can't find any image or info whatsoever on it :p

I wish you luck finding info on it.

I don't see any Tamagotchi or BanDai logos on that pack - which is kind of unusual too.

Different from what regular tama? Is this like, some kind of special v2, or what kind of thama is this really!?

Well, yes, the opening of it is very splishy splashy like the design of tama and the packaging itself- plus the egg is different too...

Hmm, I would love to get my hands on it.

Hellooo, I might be able to spread some light on this :) I've been on the google and it looks to me like there were 2 versions of this Tamagotchi released the blue looks to be english/american where as the black version is the Japanese release Ive managed to find a few more pics of it by putting a Japanese translation of "mihara yasuhiro tamagotchi" into google.

It also looks like it does have the same cracked egg animation as in jzwolf530's video (i found a picture then lost it woops)

Heres a nice close up and unboxed photo

Thats all I managed to scrape together hope it helps

From the photo, you can see it has a little "antenna" bump like the KeiTama and V3 have. The words in the yellow bar near the bottom right of the case are Japanese. This indicates it's probably a Japanese model.

A photo of it can be found on this KeiTama collection page: https://www4.ocn.ne.j...s_k/plus_k.html (scroll to the very bottom.)

This site mentions a Puma-edition Japanese Tamagotchi that was limited to 1000 pieces: https://ameblo.jp/poo...0004306498.html Sorry no photo there but based on the time-frame - September 2005, they're probably referring to the model you have.

I don't know if it's a simply a limited-edition shell & package, or if the operation is also somehow different. Somebody started blogging about theirs (in Japanese), here: https://blogs.yahoo.c...se/6737207.html I don't have time to check it out right now, maybe there's more info after that entry.
