Now that tamatown is dead as a doornail, how can I get other items/instruments for my v6 Music Star? My Mametchi is 4 days old, and so far only has a trombone and a bassdrum. Am I stuck without tamatown? The generator I found at https://musicstargen.site40.net/itemgen.html doesn't work either. Any help for a n00b?

 
There's a trick for it, but you will have to completely reset your tama few times.

You just have to keep resetting when it hatches... I don't remember if you have to do anything else about it, but all of the instruments should stay.

 
What Jhud says is true.

When the egg hatches, don't enter any name, just reset and download a couple of times; all the gifts of each tama will belong to you when you stop resetting.
