Differences between ID L and Color +?

Thinking about getting an English ID L, but they're almost $100 (compared to the ~$60 I spent on my Color +) so I wanted to know - what's the difference between the two gameplay wise? I mean, I'd love to have the menus be in English, but I am having trouble finding specific information about what additional features this tama has versus it's predecessor.

Is it smaller than the Color +? I really found it to be extremely unwieldy, and it's shape lent to it being much more likely to get scratched up in my purse because it bulged through the outer pocket.

As for the size, they are basically the same, but unlike the +Color, the iD L has a rounded back which (in my opinion) is more comfortable for the hands.
