I've heard of some people talking about yahoo japan, but where else is a good place to buy tamas? :0

Chobitsuu sells Tamagotchi ID L (english) for 90 dollars. I bought mine off him, no one has really had any trouble with him (besides me, my local usps broke mine so had to do a claim and get another sent >.<. But Chobitsuu has been really professional about it!)

I usually buy my Tamagotchis from eBay, but you could also try Amazon, HobbyLinkJapan, CD Japan, and Amiami.
