Ive been trying to figure our which v3s besides for mine have this issue. I have the light lavinderish purple v3 with the hears w/ wings. But over and over i put batteries in the thing, and 3 days latr, i get the battery with a x through it flashing. I love how the v3s run, and wanna get some more. But before i do, i want to figure out which other v3s are part of the "bad" wave group. If you think your tama does this too, pls post.

The v3 came out in 4 waves.

wave 3: http://www.iaza.com/...73622675600.jpg
wave 4: http://www.iaza.com/...73648345500.jpg
maybe it was from the earlier waves?

My brother's Tamagotchi is in the 1st wave group. It doesn't do what you described at the top. Maybe it is just faulty.

My V4.5 does that...I don't think it depends on the shell design. Just a faulty Tamagotchi.

I had that with mine too mine was pale green with gren swirls (not in the lists). I remember reading somewhere that the brand of batteries has an effect and that the V3's just eat Duracel and to get anything but those and it worked for mine.

Are you using Alkaline or Lithium batteries? Here's a comparison: http://www.medicbatt...ared-to-lithium
I would say try Lithium if you can, just make sure the voltage is the same. Alkaline drain way fast because they're overall cheapie batteries.
(If I am wrong on this and others say Lithium is not recommended for vpets, then please ignore me.)
