I recently learned that some V4.5s can be found in a V4 shell. I also saw a topic about a purchase someone made thinking it would be a V4 but it ended up being a V4.5 in a V4 shell and I also noticed that it had a beaded key chain instead of the regular ones. Is the beaded key chain a reliable way to tell if a V4 is actually a V4.5 in a V4 shell? I really want this honey comb design I recently saw, but I don't really want it if it's actually a V4.5, and it has the same beaded chain. (idk why, it just gives me anxiety for the guts to not be what they seem on the outside)
If any of you know if this is a V4 or a V4.5 in disguise, or how I can tell which it is, that would help me out a lot. Thanks!

I went ahead and bought it anyway. I still have no clue, but I was giving myself a panic attack about it so I just told myself that either way, the shell design is meant for me (because I really like bees and I even have a bee tattoo)
I'd still like to find out which version it is before it gets here though, that would help me decide whether or not I'm going to switch the shells with a V4 if it ends up being a 4.5

i missed out on the v4 and v4.5's so i never knew the difference.
are any icons different between the 2? could you have asked the seller to look through some menus?

Okay. I am only recently coming back to the forums, but... I want to offer my little insight.

I do not think that was one of the first v4.5 release designs...
Looked online in a few places and the people I have seen with logs about this design say it was v4 and logged onto v4 Tamatown.
I am going to guess that it is an true Asia Pacific v4... not the mistake v4.5 with a ball antennae.

Can't offer 100% guarantee... but when it reaches you, I hope it's what you want.
Since you already paid, breathe easy until it's in your hands.

I have a real v4 with the beaded chain. It's real,
unless you find that the games are from the v4.5.
Many of those Tamagotchi v4s were released with the beaded chain.

I just wanted to remind that Entamas are NOT just v4's in japanese. They are COMPLETELY different tamas.
So it's likely an Entama.
